Aggie, I am older than dirt. This is not a new pitch only drawn out to make it 'real'.

Before graduating high school we had a little round table discussion on race. Students in our school in the library.
Our school was fully integrated. During this discussion the black students were saying how they wanted to take over by out populating whites.

Being this school was only some 80 miles from NYC we were heavily dosed in all the Civil Rights going down.

When I joined the Air Force they thought it necessary to give us Race Relation courses. The black Airman confirmed to the instructor they were the racists ones. Did not matter much. That was in 1972.

I am still being cleansed.

Academics recently applauded a Social Psychology Quarterly study purporting to show a disparity in the time dogs were adopted based on racial associations with the animals’ names.

“White” names, according to the study, resulted in shorter adoption times compared to “Black” names.

Guy's last name is "kibble". Commenting on dog adoption.

How very 2022.

Some of you may too young to remember the old magnetic board you put letters on, but I’ve always thought some folks just grabbed a handful of letters and threw them. Whatever stuck was the name. Now you have to add a few ill-placed apostrophes. Keenan and Peele hit the nail on the head......A A’ Ron..

WTAF is a white dog name?

a white dog name is a traditional name that is spelled correctly. A black dogs name would consist of adding a Ja- to the beginning of a male dog's name or a La- in front of a female dog's name.

So "spot" would be a white dog name while Jaspot, Jayspot would be a black male dog name and LaSpot or LaSpotoya would be a black dog's name.

with all due respect, Wednesday, if you had taken the time to read the study you would know the answer to this question.

As I outlined at the top of the previous page, that term is shorthand for an extensive online survey they did regarding the perceptions of the general public regarding the racial background of people with various different names.

So what kind of names are - Goldie, Deuce, Hershey, Rover, Spot, Diesel, Gumbo, Roux, and Tiger. I know At least one white person who has named a dog everything on that list.

Hell, I have a black friend who named his dog Boudreaux. I’ve never in my life known a black person named Boudreaux.

DOGS ARE NOT PEOPLE

DOGS DO NOT HAVE RACES.

THIS “STUDY” IS STUPID frickING PSEUDOSCIENCE

My dog’s name is Mike.

Snoop once upon a time had a white pitbull named White Boy. He would tell it to “sit down, White Boy”

But my dog’s name is clearly the racist one

This is something definitely worthy of study.

Our institutions of higher learning mock what they pretend to be.

All this tells me is black people aren’t adopting dogs. This is somehow white peoples fault?

I have a cat named Buster Brown. He's a big black tuxedo kitty. Growing up, our dogs were named Gertrude, Chelsea and Ajay. My sister's dogs are named Molly, Hattie, Tucker and Snacks Bethany. We're obv Caucasian.

I like the variation in cat names better. Such as Marshal, Singie (CA firecat my friend rescued after the Paradise fire with singed fur), Momma Kitty, Tabitha, Tomas, Momo, Cain, Kitten Man, Briathan, Luna, Minnie Mouse, Minga Sue, Foo Foo, Boogie-Pie, Hamilton, Oliver, Elliott, Dolly, Beatrice, Jupiter, One Eye Jack (one of his eyes opened a week before the other one, lived to be 19, both eyes still worked until the end.) I adopted a trio of kittens once named Eenie, Meenie and Moe. One is still named Eenie (renamed Enid Bacon-Seed Little Feather, officially.)

Bunny names are even more fun: Peneloppy, Odysseus, Sappho, Milkfat, Little Bunny Foo, Rambo, S.Ophelia Clementine, Philo, Theo, Fiona.

Don't get me started on chicken names. Well OK just one: I had a big black Jersey Giant and she was a beautiful oil slick greenish black. I named her Diesel. (Norcal bawette ftw, lol.)

Anyway I'm glad this thread came back because of Michael Jr's comedy gold. When the Black brother says his dog's name so dejected... and it was the same name as the sister's dog. So funny.
