As I outlined at the top of the previous page, that term is shorthand for an extensive online survey they did regarding the perceptions of the general public regarding the racial background of people with various different names.

White' names, according to the study, resulted in shorter adoption times compared to 'Black' names.

My brother (a veterinarian) had a registered black lab named Broderick Reginald Othello. He was called by his acronym. Got a lot of funny looks from people when we would call him

What is a "white" name?
Only a racist POS would come up with such an idea.

This is the problem with the publish or perish mentality in academia. Absolute rubbish gets published just to say you did something.

How many of the “black” dog names are for breeds which people don’t want / aren’t allowed to have by insurance carriers?
Homeowner insurance won’t cover certain types of dogs such as pits, Preso Canario, etc.

Hell, I have a black friend who named his dog Boudreaux. I’ve never in my life known a black person named Boudreaux.
Boudreaux is also a particularly large and vicious bloodline of fighting pits.
I've always named my dogs after historical conquerors and military leaders. I've had a Bonaparte, a Sulla, a Constantine and a Tamerlane. (No pits. A schnauzer, two labs, and a mutt.)
