My chocolate lab is named Roux also. I wasn't worried when I named her if I was being racist or not. I was just naming my dog!

As I outlined at the top of the previous page, that term is shorthand for an extensive online survey they did regarding the perceptions of the general public regarding the racial background of people with various different names.
