Everyone had had failures in their life. It's how we learn. I've been more successful than most. If you think the Iran conflict has been a success you are completely detached from reality.

Wtf are you on?
Did you expect 1980 middle easterners to follow the same code of ethics that Americans enjoy? Are you dumb?

Define what you consider a military success then? I consider neutralizing the enemy’s ability to make war or launch any sizable offensive attacks with a very modest casualties to be a striking military success. Only a retard would argue differently. Sustaining the blockade and strategic patience is all that is needed at this point since the enemy no longer has the ability to launch offensive operations.

Posts like this are childish and desperate. Also, wasn't Al Qaeda responsible for the USS Cole?

Reading that makes me want to at least get more familiar with the 25th amendment.
I kid.
A little.

On 19 August 1953, Prime Minister of Iran Mohammad Mosaddegh was overthrown in a coup d'état that strengthened the rule of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the Shah of Iran. It was instigated by the United Kingdom (MI6), under the codename Operation Boot. A key motive was to protect British oil interests in Iran after Mosaddegh nationalized the country's oil industry.
Plus Mosaddegh had just thrown out the Iranian constitution and appointed himself ruler. He needed to be tossed
quote:
Mossadegh was not elected by the people. The Iranian Constitution of 1906 made no provision for the direct election of the head of government. Article 46 of the Supplementary Fundamental Laws expressly assigned the appointment and dismissal of the prime minister to the Shah. Mossadegh came into office in 1951 because the Shah appointed him
In 1952, Mossadegh halted the parliamentary elections for the 17th Majles at the very moment when the number of deputies already elected was just sufficient to make parliament quorate. The remaining elections in the rural provinces, where conservative forces threatened to win majorities, never took place.
In the summer of 1953, he then dissolved this incomplete parliament as well, by means of a popular referendum, an instrument that the Iranian constitution neither recognized nor provided for. The right to dissolve parliament, under Article 48, lay exclusively with the king. Mossadegh circumvented this by appealing directly to the "will of the people." The vote on August 3, 1953, was not held by secret ballot: yes and no votes were cast in spatially separate polling stations, and every voter had to make publicly visible how he was voting.

Epic Fury was a mistake
If this causes the rest of the middle east to build infrastructure to bypass the straight and ultimately causes Iran to have zero leverage over the world economy, I'd call it at least a draw.
The regime may eventually fall as well.
Gas prices aren't really that bad, tbh.

It's a mistake in that Trump bent the knee by listening to that idiot Vance. Trump should have finished the job when Iran was on the rope. But hey...had to make the anti-Semitic podcast bros happy I guess.

Trump 2.0 is about enriching and doing favors for his friends and donors. The sooner you understand that, the more it makes sense. He doesn’t give a shite.
Meh, Trump 2.0 is about getting justice for all the crap he and his supporters were put through since 2016.
I for one hope the Dumocrats and the Nevertrumpers get "justice" much time in jail as the law allows for what they did to Trump, his supporters and this country.

If they think gas prices are bad then they should have lived in California for the last ten years.

It's wild how we see things differently. I think he has been one of the only voices of reason with respect to Iran (Caine, too).

The more I read every day, the happier I am about the Iran Win for us.
There is no reason at all to be upset about it.

Because it wasnt about oil rights. Which was the entire reason for the coup. For the US It was about keeping Iran from flipping to Russia
quote:
UK prime minister Churchill solicited Eisenhower to aide in overthrowing Iran's government. The preceding Truman administration had opposed a coup. The UK government's solicitations to the US were instrumental in initiating and planning the coup
quote:
British arguments that Mosaddeq was destabilizing Iran found a more friendly audience when Eisenhower became president. Fearing that a communist takeover of Iran was likely, Eisenhower authorized the ouster of Mosaddeq.
Churchill used their relationship from WWII to convince Eisenhower to stop what had happened in Germany from happening in Iran
