One of the good things out of the war is that Iran, even if they wait out Trump, is screwed long term.
The U.S. does not rely on oil from the Middle East. And with additional drilling here in the U.S. and oil coming in from South America, we will need oil from the Middle East even less.
Long term, I imagine this quickens the rate of getting alternative energy sources up to scale.
Even in terms of oil, Iran has isolated itself in the region, pissing off Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. Long term these countries probably build new pipelines to bypass the Straight of Hormuz, which will make Iran all but irrelevant.
Even though I support Israel, I think the long term play is this:
- Build up oil production in the Americas to where the U.S. needs absolutely zero oil from the Middle East and other countries are less reliant.
- While not replacing oil, build up nuclear, solar and wind power to reduce the need for oil/gas.
- Build up the electric grid to have more electric cars on the road.
- Build partnerships with Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar to isolate Iran and bypass them in terms of oil, making them irrelevant.
Once all these are done, wash out hands of the Middle East. Advise Israel they can still buy weapons from us, but we will no longer fight any wars in the Middle East. Advise Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and other enemies in the Middle East, we'll leave you all alone to wallow in misery and be a backwards poor society. But if you mess with us, we turn your country into a parking lot and erase your society from existence.
Make that threat very real, but then withdraw from the Middle East and let them be sh*thole countries.

This war has cost Republicans the midterms. When some of the most conservative people I know are pissed about it, I know we have problems. It is a disaster.

No it’s not. The largest group showing up to primaries are maga. Trumps endorsement record shows that. You only have 37 posts so I doubt you’ll come back to eat crow after the primary.

Let’s dig into this. Trump’s record in Primary endorsements is very good. When you dig deeper and look at his actual endorsement record in general elections it’s not so good. General elections are what actually matters since those are people who actually govern and make policy. This doesn’t even take into account Trump endorsing the loser in a Republican primary then him flipping and endorsing the winner in the general election. If you want to look at Trumps record look no further than Georgia where he’s been abysmal in endorsements including backing candidates to unseat Kemp then pretending after those candidates lose he always backed the winner. Trumps handpicked Senate candidates here have been a disaster so bad they keep getting beat by a weak cuck like Ossoff and a closeted homosexual preacher in Warnock.

Sovereignty has ALWAYS been the KEY in Trump’s plan and he’s working with allies to protect future sovereignty by creating “safeguards” to protect the world’s energy supply.
And it’s not a coincidence that Trump is pushing hard for a massive and diversified new energy supply in our country and helping allies to do the same.

Not a mistake. Iran was surely going to drop a bomb on London, Paris, and Tel-Aviv. It’s the reason we started this. Unfortunately, maybe our military strategy should switch to protect the homeland ONLY. Let everybody else fight it out. One mission statement. Anyone that so much as touches our homeland in a bad manner will be destroyed completely. And we’ll deport every non American. PERIOD. But until we audit every sitting member of congress, department heads, lobbying firms , defense contractors CEOs etc. we are screwed. I would suspect 90% belong in prison
