It’s a numbers game. Their pool of potential mates is very small. They need more people in that pool, and it won’t happen naturally. So now they have to persuade children to become something they’re not. Textbook grooming.

this is true. just because your child is in private school does not mean they are not learning these new woke lessons. in private schools they typically hide it is SEL, social emotional learning. I would look at everything the school is doing in multiple grades. Examine changes in mission statements. from my experience, the change in the school happens fast and they are very reluctant to admit it. It really is an aspect of teacher training, both in college and during all the training offered to teachers and administrators on an ongoing basis. Don't take it for granted that private, even Catholic, is spared.

Any education about sex and gender identity should take place in the home when children are of an appropriate age. Public schools need to focus on academic instruction.

Eh, not really. The kids I knew who were goth 15 years ago still dress up as goths for concerts and stuff, they just have jobs (and kids) now. They don’t really cringe that much about their past and try to go back on it.

We don’t. I don’t think sexuality should be taught in school, maybe like you suggest…tolerance should.
I was trying to answer the OP’s question ‘why’. It was just what I assume they want to get out of this.
I have a HS freshman son and I feel for kids who don’t live up to the social norms, it’s not easy.
