Vance said that in a much more tact manner than Trump that's not overshadowing anyone it's just a good old fashioned tongue lashing and we're not used to seeing VPs allowed to talk like this.

My perception was I was glad to see a more dominant pres and VP in the same room on the same page, it’s not often we see the two offices in this setting. I don’t really see the whole subordination side of it personally

Vance has kinda been a restrained Trump since he was picked IMO. He often gets the same point across without leaving room for controversy. He knows when to speak and what to say.
Look at the debates. Trump got rattled by crowd sizes and ratings. Vance just let Walz speak, gave "that look" to the camera, and knew when to let Walz hang himself. Equally as effective without the spectacle.

Today was a follow up to that Vance-Zelenskyy Munich dialogue.

I think that Zelenskyy’s mentioning of how well feel it later is because we need those rare earth minerals for a variety of purposes. If Russia gets more of them they are much stronger and we are weaker because of it. That’s just what it is. That’s why Trump wanted that deal. Trump himself mentioned it early in the talk and he’s correct.
