It seems like most posters here think that everyone just needs to “try harder” and they can get out of poverty without acknowledging the various obstacles impeding this.
on the flip side, those promoting "social justice" need to acknowledge that a lot of issues can be solved on the individual level
you can't solve, say, police violence, on the individual level
but you can make a dent in, say, mass single motherhood
the social justice ilk don't even want to acknowledge the fact that single motherhood is a huge detriment to a child's development and future social status

And rather ironically, when challenged, they'll immediately jump to the anecdote of the single mom who's now in the C-suite of XYZ company who worked her way through college, etc. etc.

systemic racism is a meaningless buzzword used by white women to libsplain why poor black people stay poor and black despite being passed by 1st and 2nd generation immigrants who didn't even speak english when they came here from genuinely dirt-poor countries
In other words, you know everything about racism and it’s the black peoples fault.

My issue though is that I am now being told to comply and act and think and speak a very specific way or else lose my job, or else have my family harmed, or else perhaps have violence inflicted against me. And if I speak out against this and use any critical thinking or show any nuance in how to address these problems, then I am a violent, oppressive racist.
What I find most interesting is that most of the people calling you a “violent, oppressive racist” are of the same race as you. Hence the now-ubiquitous phrase “It’s not enough to be non-racist, you have to be anti-racist”. As though merely treating people of all colors equally is wholly insufficient.
It’s almost as if some group was controlling the narrative to deliberately keep us at each other’s throats, even if we fundamentally agree on the major issue.
Interesting.

No, but I know systemic racism is bullshite.

I have known you are a Liberal troll.
You are such a coward that you hide by claiming to be a conservative.

Personally, I’ll acknowledge that. I believe there was a systemic destruction of the black family. The government instituted policies that encouraged(s) single motherhood for decades.

Did you start this thread to troll or are you going to explain systematic racism? Youve been asked to explain it several times

well now you run into the 100% adherence issue and you're now a racist and should be shunned from society

It’s a hell of a lot better than “we know everything about systemic racism and it’s all whitey’s fault.”

Yet you want the same government to save them from this oppression?

I didn’t start this thread so I could proclaim to be an expert. I’m wondering if y’all are even open to considering alternative perspectives.

All the other labeling is just bullshite

Ok? Do you post here only to complain about what other people do or do you care to focus on what you can actually control like your knowledge and information? It’s frustrating that threads devolve into “well, other random people we saw on tv say this so boom.” Who cares?

Guess what they call people who try to roll those policies back?

Systematic actions seem to always have unintended consequences, often just as if not more negative than those they are attempting to systematically resolve.
Best efforts and results seem more often to occur on the individual level.
