Is Graves a convicted felon? To me that's more important.

Yeah, I actually see finishing a prison sentence as somewhat similar to not graduating college, so for me it's a wash.

There is some logic there.

Could quite possibly prove that Garret is way better than Edwards.

I mean, why waste time on a degree when you can get elected years sooner and fleece the populace. A little prison time ain't no big thing.

The more I think about it, it really does. That's smart as hell and proves some real knowledge of the position he's running for. I'm now Team Garret.

And while I'm at it, I can't believe you're even thinking of valuing that shitty 87 year ago education. I thought it's been put to bed that those old teaching methods do not work and are chock full of racism, bigotry and favoritism.

Graves has the closest thing to modern "approaching basic", esteem uplifting, fair common core style teaching.

Even if he had a few less years of it, it's a slam dunk.

Team Garret for sure.

It is difficult for me to understand how someone that has the intelligence to log on to an internet message board could possibly vote for Edwards. The man used Louisiana as his own personal check book for decades. At a time when Louisiana should have been passing the rest of the country up, he and his cronies were keeping us in last place time and again.

Hell, so many of the budget cutting issues that we have today are to be blamed directly at Edwards. Who do you think got a Constitution passed that only allows for cutting education or health care?

Obviously it was since he asked the question.

Why all the attacks after a simple question? Is there something you guys are hiding?

We live in a country where you can vote for whomever is on the ballot.

Would you prefer that a candidate's qualifications not be discussed and he simply be appointed? Who is going to be the appointer? Me or you?

I simply wanted to know if Graves dropped out of college.

Obscure answers were given with a lot of hate and name calling. Is this the type of voter who supports this particular candidate? I hope that this is not what this candidate represents.

Vegas, don't act naive. I know you are more intelligent than that. I'm not buying the attempt to condemn the responses in this thread.

The OP stated that he is a supporter of a convicted felon who stole millions of dollars from his constituents and betrayed their trust. IMO, what Edwards pulled is right below treason.

Of course not. Qualifications are important. The reason people responded so aggressively is because of that one sentence where you admitted to supporting Edwards.

I'm sorry, but that skews how people will view your post.

Edwards shouldn't even be considered for a job at a gas station, let alone anything in politics.

The fact that he is even somewhat a contender furthers my want to leave this state.

What does it say about an individual if he supports electing a politician who went to prison for stealing from his constituents?

I'd much rather have supporters who are assholes.

Edwards was convicted of crimes after leaving office, not stealing from constituents.

This is the sort of thing taught in a College level Louisiana History Course. This is why graduation from college may be relevant to holding an elected office.
