The intense media scrutiny and Republican attacks facing Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner of Maine over his controversial and inflammatory past online comments and his now-removed but well-publicized tattoo on his chest that resembled a Nazi symbol don't appear to be slowing him down.
A new public opinion poll shows Platner holding an upper single-digit lead over longtime Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine in a race that is among a handful that will likely decide if the GOP holds its slim 53-47 majority in the Senate in this year's midterm elections.
Platner, a progressive candidate backed by Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, stands at 51% support among likely Maine voters, with Collins at 42%, in a Pine Tree State poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire. Six percent of respondents were undecided, with 2% backing other candidates.

The states like Delaware, Maine, California, Colorado, Minnesota, and Connecticut are on my F.U.P. list.
Their citizens are mostly democrats and they've got some really far-out views of our country. How can a person be so evil and have these far out beliefs?
Oh, F.U.P. stands for F****d Up Places!

Ehh not all. But the ones in the population centers are like you described. Rural Maine is fairly traditional.

Isn't Collins usually an underdog this time of year before an election and always pulls a win off?
Would be bad to lose her, but not horrible. She is only slightly better than Murkowski.

It was like this last time. Everyone thought Collins was done. She ended up winning handily. Maine is a strange place and I wouldn’t put too much stock in these polls. Remember that we were also told that Kamala would win Iowa.

I remember when “Skinheads from Maine” was a comedy sketch on the Dana Carvey Show and not a Senate race.

I think it's been proven that you can't really trust polls.

It seems that dumb bitch Collins is down by 10 points every election and somehow wins.

This is just an early pysc-op designed to discourage the right. It happens all the time. Fox likely got a big donation to run it.
Way too early for polls. Hell, Iran bombs seem like a year ago. Nov is so far away. Bit they want to start early to try and get any momentum

If true, the GOP is about to get slaughtered in midterms

In this case the RINO is the better option

If we are going to lose a senate seat held by republicans that up for reelection this year then this would be the seat . She is not much better than a democrat.

Supposedly there is more dirt on this guy they are waiting to unleash. Collins is crafty.
