That and the little tidbit everybody forgets that Obama said that Obamacare wasn't a tax and if not for SC Justice John Roberts declaring that's what it was, it NEVER would have passed.

Oh yea, and that little part where everyone lost their plan and had to buy a new one that cost 2-3x's as much.

can't believe it took a page and a half for somebody to say that.

i don't care about 26 YO kids staying on.
i like pre-existing to a degree.
i want more people to be able to get healthcare and coverage.

no republican is sitting around saying they don't want any of these things.

they are saying that you driving people's cost up 100s to 1000s a month to get there isn't fixing healthcare.

There solution is to give people less coverage, fewer subsidies and higher deductibles.

If cost is your issue you are pointing the finger in the wrong direction.

People want coverage for existing conditions....... At low rates.......

That is not insurance. That is shifting the cost of your healthcare onto others.

Once you get cancer, it is a little late to go shopping for insurance and asking others (who have been paying for insurance all along) to help you pay for your treatments.

Coverage for existing conditions is not Insurance. Let's get this over with and nationalize critical healthcare. Elective surgeries can remain privatized.

People who had insurance got kicked off coverage before Obamacare if they got bad illnesses. That was one thing Obamacare fixed.

The Affordable Care Act was unpopular because of smear campaigns. The masses agree pre-existing conditions should be covered. The masses agree on coverage up to age 26 by parents plans. The masses agree everyone should have access. The only thing that really pissed people off was the mandate. Other than that it was the smear campaigns.

I thought you considered yourself a libertarian?

And was the reason premiums sky rocketed, deductibles increased, insurers lost lots of money and no one on the left cares. Just print more money.

No it wasn't.

Maybe, but the majority of people realize that the Republicans are willingly and selfishly throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Do you like always do. Just print more money.

You could, along with your dem friends, sell all you have, live small and donate heavily to help those people too but that would be walking the walk.

What was "done" with them before? Do you think the streets were full of dying people before the crap sandwich of ObamaCare?

So I take it this is the official, sanctioned talking point? That the American people are just too stupid to make their own decisions.

Let's see how it plays out.

The same thing they sang as the Bush helicopter left the White House in 2009. They could sing much louder then as there were so many more of them Eight years ago.

Or that marketing can swap peoples opinions? Most people think the McDonald's coffee lady was looking for a payday. She just wanted her medical bills paid. She didn't want a settlement, but the courts gave her one because McDonald's wouldn't pay her medical bills and the courts wanted to make an example of them (they gave her 2 days worth of McDonald's coffee sales). How did McDonald's respond? Smear campaign to make her look bad.

I do consider myself a libertarian (with a dash of green party), but I also don't think health insurance should be a for profit industry. People shouldn't be denied access to medical care so a company can make more money.

Confirmed it was the Dems singing and taunting.

Npr still talking about it at length. They think it was awesome, funny, and poignant. Referenced back to early 90s about republicans taunting some PA dem congresswoman when she cast a key vote for Clinton's budget, ensuring its passage (people may not remember that Clinton's proposal was very unpopular, barely passed with Dems holding large majorities in the house and senate). Republicans then said PA congresswoman was done, and she did eventually lose reelection bid.

Npr and Dems say this is a similar situation and they look forward to retaking congress now that the republicans have signed their death warrants.

Pelosi: "This bill is now tattooed on their foreheads. And there will be a reckoning."
