People need to realize that no one ever said it was the "Gulf of the United States of America." It's the Gulf of America: the USA, Central America, the northern coast of South America, various American islands, etc.
There should really be no controversy over one country deciding to call it the "Gulf of America." I mean, when New Zealand or Zimbabwe decides some place named after a colonialist should actually be called Ooogabooga-Chokwe or whatever, nobody bats an eye.

Delta does not control the programming on their IFE- you need to take that up with Rockwell Collins who provide the software
