I have been do a Heritage Foundation event. It is like the KKK and the 60's version of the "Stepford Wives" had a love child. Very well dressed. Lots of solid college degrees. Looked a lot like Mormons (a known cult).

Self-professed "moderates" are typically little more than people who stick their finger in the air to see which views require the least amount of intellectual curiosity to defend. What's the "moderate" view about income taxes? Inheritance tax? Welfare? Freedom of association?
"Moderate" doesn't define anything, it's not a coherent belief system, it just means you go with the flow.
