He created the memo as evidence of a conversation that he admits they put aside but could come back at a later time to deal with. He gave that evidence to a friend to leak.

You can tell that the entire committee is at least somewhat skeptical of Comey.

I disagree. I think there is plenty of evidence (assuming you largely believe Comey) that the President exercised poor judgment.
Yes. His blind and unconditional professional loyalty to Flynn is very troubling. I don't fault him for supporting him on a personal friend level, but it's disturbing when that carries over into his professional duties.

Maybe you never read the history of LBJ and how he handled pretty much all of Washington DC.

A special prosecutor is in no way an employee on the executive branch and the President has no way to put pressure on that person.

First of all, Mueller is a special counsel not a special prosecutor and second of all the POTUS can order the AG , or in this case the Deputy AG to fire a Special Counsel, and then fire him if he refuses and appoint a temporary Deputy AG to do so.

That is exactly what Richard Nixon did, politically a nightmare of course, but it can be done.

Or he can do like George H Bush did and simply pardon everyone the SC goes after LOL

Independent of this , do you really think that just by virtue of being Senators that these morons understand the law more than the average American?
Dude they are senators on the intelligence committee who have been investigating this for months and about 60% have law degrees. You think they don't know more about the law than the average American lol? Gtfo.

I think he actually said that's a "fair" statement. I thought that was a more appropriate response then "accurate."

Someone should ask Comey if he was given the same amount, more or less ice cream than Trump during the dinner.

The Obama administration politically weaponized the FBI on March 2016 via the counter intelligence investigation. Comey's (and most of the swamp) motivation is to conceal this

Dead balls on

If folks review the Comey testimony on March 20th, 2017 with freshman representative from New York named Elise M. Stefanik they will understand why.

So if the Dems ever regain power again in the WH can the Rs scream bloody murder about Russia interfering and start a new investigation?
