Comey should've told people about the meetings with Trump where he thought Truml was trying to influence him and the investigations.
He should've reported that.
Comey answers on that aren't sufficient and show poor judgement. Same for the phone call thing. Doesn't add up.

It probably happened to him at the Bureau or as a US Attorney- the President part is what makes it unique- Presidents are almost never alone.

the sessions/pence stuff is interesting
but yea, the trump stuff is about what we expected

this is turning out so bad for the media.
how many times is he going to repeat "TRUMP WAS NEVER UNDER INVESTIGATION"
now that is being blasted from every tv in the country constantly.
the ultimate 'this did not turn out as planned'

I'm wondering what libs think a special prosecutor is going to turn up that the FBI, cia, and nsa have not in 8 months despite presumably having all relevant evidence in their possession the entire time? Sure it prolongs the much Russians narrative for a while, but that just makes it worse for the Dhims when it continues to be a huge nothing burger
A special prosecutor is in no way an employee on the executive branch and the President has no way to put pressure on that person.

Collins: "I'm trying to find out if there was an investigation of the president in any way?" Comey: "NO."
Doesn't this effectively destroy the whole "obstruction of justice" narrative? Swalwell on Tucker last night tried to say something about it being bad for Trump to address Comey if he's (Trump) under investigation but he stopped b/c he realized Comey said he wasn't. Here's the link...

It is so easy to tell a quality Senator from a crappy Senator in these things.

You think Comey just admitted to breaking the law to the Senate intelligence committee? And that the next few senators questioning him aren't even mentioning it
Independent of this , do you really think that just by virtue of being Senators that these morons understand the law more than the average American?
I doubt any of them no the intricacies of the law well enough to know on the fly whether a witness just broke the law or not, unless it was something obvious .

I disagree. I think there is plenty of evidence (assuming you largely believe Comey) that the President exercised poor judgment.
I do think today bolsters the President's case that his frustrations about not getting anyone to "clear" him (at least in the at-the-moment sense) was justified. Of course, the President concocting an excuse for Comey's firing, undermining it himself, and then talking shite on Twitter are further examples of poor judgment.

The Obama administration politically weaponized the FBI on March 2016 via the counter intelligence investigation. Comey's (and most of the swamp) motivation is to conceal this

Must have missed something - Didn't hear anything about Pence - heard only that he 'thought Sessions would recuse himself' -
anything more than that???

Blunt with the BOOM!! Comey looking bad here. Very bad.
If Trump was then under suspicion of directing Comey to violate the law, then six weeks later, Comey would have lied to the President by telling him he wasn't under investigation.
