While I agree, Allen West is great, I'm your 1 downvote because they (fired Generals) do not need to be re-invited back to work.
Not sure when Obama fired them but if we assume his last day in office vs his first year, that was 8 years ago. 4-Stars are not spring chickens and you add another at least 8 years since separation from service. Come on man.
We complain on here about all the old lifelong congress members and need for term limits. The same applies to old Generals. Hell, I would assume that most if not all of those fired Generals took their retirement package and went to work for some MIC company. Now you want to bring them back from their current MIC contract and expect to avoid future incursions/wars?
I'm a veteran and will stand strong to support the USA but bringing back old Generals is not the way.

It was more than just pilots. There was a memo that was for recruiters to only select X% of each race

To note though they weren't all 4 stars, he fired 197 in totalas of 2013.

He and I served together in Italy back in the early 80s, in Vicenza, with the 1/509th and 4/325 Airborne Battalion Combat Teams under Nuke'm Needham.
While I was FDC, Allen was Bn RSO ... we ran a lot of fire missions together, jumped out of a lot of aircraft together.
He is a legend for holding an M9 to the head of an Al Qaeda POS and promising to blow his fricking raghead off if he didn't talk.

He's not going to run for office again.
He's filled a niche in the fundraising power broker pundit RNC side of things, especially on the speaker's circuit.
I'll see him again at Bragg in May for our reunion where they've asked the surviving members of our old unit to march in Division Review.

West hasn't said anything wrong...
BUT it's hard to ignore the fact that he's a carpetbagger. I know people on here like him because he's a black token conservative who says all the right things. But I just can't trust anyone who moves from one place to the next in hopes of cracking back into public office. People like sometimes are in it for their own self interest and can't be trusted. Something just isn't adding up with that guy.
Maybe he should look into a career as a political pundit. Or start a "black conservative" podcast. Those seem to be extremely popular in recent years.
