It doesn’t matter to cnn at all. I’m sure y’all know that if you have the ability to watch them they are still getting your money regardless if you give them ratings or not. You must cut the cord to prevent them from getting your money. Lack of ratings hasn’t hurt them one bit.

And it's sad. Don used to be a decent anchor years ago. Trump broke him and now he's a little whiny bitch. Sad!

You post this and it's funny but it's also very informative in a way I don't think people understand

These organizations want to make money and losing viewers doesn't do that for them

So if they keep behaving in a manner that costs them viewers, logic tells you that you need to figure out why they're doing it

And the answer is simple. They are getting money from somewhere else.

Logic then tells you that while we may not have state-run media we damn sure have party run media.

Just like selling advertising media outlets sell narratives. The typical arrangement and narrative purchasing but not necessarily set in stone goes like this: the CIA pays WaPo, the FBI pays the NYTs, the State Department pays CNN and before Trump the White House worked with NBC, ABC and CBS.

You would think that if your cable channel is continually getting beat out by chick flicks (not to mention endless Christmas film reruns) you might want to change what you're doing.

How low can they go?

Well, they could resort to paying viewers. I'll watch them for $30 an hour but I set my own total hours per week.

Its not a news channel, its a Democrat PAC. Their goals are completely different.

Shouldn't one of those goals be actually having people watch?

What good is propaganda if no one sees it?

I only turn on CNN for a laugh. I don’t think anyone takes them seriously anymore.

They're probably OK with everyone just talking about it.

Aren't their foreign broadcasts' ratings separate?

Back when I lived in BR (I left there in 1994, 25 years ago), it was actually good. Turn it on at 6:00am, and in 5 min, you actually knew what had happened overnight.

As I posted, it ain't like that now. Instead of news, they have switched to leftist propaganda.

And while reminiscing, TWC's "your local weather on the eights" were well worth 2 min of your life, just before going out the door on the way to work. Instead of weather, they have tried to become an entertainment channel.

I admit to being well over 80, but I don't think I'm just wishing for things to be "just like it was in the old days". TV has turned into "Fox and Friends", etc. Now, I log on to find out what happened overnight, and to see the radar scan, before golf and/or gym.

You can guarantee that any lost revenue from viewership or ads is matched by someone like Soros, just to keep things going.

Isn't CNN airport rated apart from the main CNN network?

Always wondered about that...

Maybe CNN doesn't care, but how about their sponsors, the money source that pays the bills? I would suspect low ratings do not please them.

(Since I last watched it for a couple of minutes in Nov. 2016 to see the wailing and gnashing of teeth, I don't even know who their sponsors are.)

Oh, they absolutely care. That was BS trying to act like CNN was some noble organization who's sole purpose was to report the unbiased truth. They're a business first and he knows it.

True, but that TDS can mess a person up bad. Maybe even permanent brain damage.
