The C-17 has a rear loading ramp capable of offloading and onloading armored cars.

They had a convoy of cars loaded I think.

There are a lot of rumors circulating right now that they have closed the American embassy in Moscow.

I only bring it up because you asked about the plane. If that were true, the C-17 comes in handy for that as well.

Also, apparently Russia just launched a barrage of hypersonics at Kyiv.

Putin cancelled a public meeting for whatever it was and signed three classified decrees after the meeting. Confirmed by Grok for what it's worth. Apparently they know this because the decrees are published and the numbering of various decrees published shows 3 being signed today, but the specifics of what they are is classified.

Also confirmed a US diplomatic convoy in Moscow and another plane along with the C-17 that carries high level officials on trips such as these.

Russia isn't about to mess with any other country, especially NATO.

If anything they are about to ratchet up the heat in Ukraine and start heavy bombing the major cities.

They're threatening the UK. They're threatening to blow up factories making drones for Ukraine.

I'm not saying I think they will, but that's the rhetoric. They made these threats last night and then today we get an unannounced visit from our CIA director.

Hopefully it was that for all the bluster and bullshite, we’re still obligated by treaty to respond to an attack on a NATO member per Article 5

Wow, this sounds ominous. Putin's a POS (but so is Zelensky).

Putin may be calculating that the US has a lot of its forces tied down in the Middle East right now, we still have to keep an eye on China, and a lot of our long range precision munitions have been used up in Iran. The military industrial complex in Europe is just now starting to get spooled up as well. If he doesn’t act now the Europeans will be producing more and more weapons and the US could be out of the war with Iran and have replenished its stocks.

Whatever was said today, had to be done in person. Must be very very serious. I wonder if Russia caught the usa doing something and they demanded an in person explanation. I get the feeling russia is very pissed.

They would summon the ambassador. The director of the CIA goes to deliver a warning or a message, not receive one.

I don't know how much Iran can be trusted (seems like not at all), but the Iranians are saying it has to do with the Strait of Hormuz and the US threatening Russia with Operation Outcast.
