Yeah, I don't think we can put much stock in anything the Iranians say. It was just last night that the Russians threatened factories in the UK that are building drones and drone parts for Ukraine with "semi-military action."
At the very least, I doubt that the Strait of Hormuz was ALL they talked about.

Yeah, it ties into the German airport and what may be some sort of escalation from Russia to force Western Europe’s hand somehow.

Right. Or even a Truth Social post from Trump. I would imagine it was a little more involved than threats of economic sanctions over the Strait of Hormuz. They didn't stay long, but the meeting did last for 4 hours.
And the Vatican Foreign Minister was there too.

I think Putin is scrambling and feeling domestic pressure and is looking for an escalation tactic.
It’s eerily similar to when Burns went because we saw the buildup on the border and construction of hospitals and bringing in blood supplies.
It seems our intelligence agencies are three knuckles deep into Russian military planning and/or the Kremlin.

I think this may also be about a prisoner swap.
The prisoner swap theory is apparently being reported on by Russian media. It makes me wonder if they might also be angling for an extradition of Snowden.
Snowden still being snowed-in in Russia of course.
They have two prisoners that we want back. A Charles Zimmerman and Robert Gilman.
