Exactly.

Well.. There may be some good in this..... That being it doesn't seem like it was a three letters job. It's just good old fashioned incompetence

Why the h would armed snipers not just step out side and ask..."hey buddy,, what you doing?" Instead of talking amongst themselves

The assassin seems like he was kinda winging it and the LEOs were uninterested

Is there video of the guys emerging from the building once shots started getting fired?

Good question. Furthermore, they suspect an assassin on the roof of a building that supposedly contains 3 snipers and they send a local cop up to investigate, who apparently doesn’t even have his gun drawn?

What kind of AR? Everyone assumes it was an AR 15. Is there any confirmation? An AR 15 even broken down is pretty bulky even for a backpack. But an AR 7 ( glorified 22 & 8 shot clip) only has a 16 - 18 in barrel and 150 yards is within it's effective range and is relatively light and easier to fit in a backpack

There’s a drone pic that has been posted of dead guy on roof, with rifle nearby. It is not a scaled down AR, it is full sized. Something (May be backpack) is nearby, and is far too small to have concealed the rifle on the roof.

As time goes on, we will learn that the SS was so inept, that they allowed a 20 year old with no training to get a shot at the once and future president

Right, …. but curious minds want to know WHY such ineptitude was tasked to such a high profile target …. was it intentional?

Part of it may be due to home field advantage, but I doubt we ever really know the real details.

16” is probably the most popular barrel length for a 5.56 AR. Broken down it wouldn’t be difficult to hide in a backpack.

So we have a guy on the roof with an AR 15 or AR 10 with a bag that looks too small to carry it. Would it be too small if he'd it broken down and assembled it on the roof? Purportedly he had 30 minutes to do this.

How does he have that much time? How does the local fuzz reportedly in the building not get word that someone unauthorized is on the roof. If SS had seen this guy and radioed it in why the long delay in getting this to the locals even with SS and locals being on different networks?

And how many were outside?

Sounds like they almost had him and would have, if it wasn’t for those pesky walls and lack of vantage point.

Most snipers actually work from home now.

The irony that it if three people would have literally done their inside job outside is just too much for me.

How do you fricking miss the rifle?

Here's a picture of an AR-15 broken down into two pieces for easy concealment. You have the Upper Receiver and Lower Receiver separated for easy carry in a backpack. This can be assembled and fired in seconds.

Why the frick were they IN the building? This is what you do when you really don't want to protect someone.

The remnants of the old guard that took out their own, John Kennedy, are still in place.

Lost in all of this, if they knew this guy was around and were talking about him. Why did no one radio and have them pull Trump from the stage until any threat could be neutralized?

Is there some reason the sniper couldn’t have gone outside and just arrested him?

Help me understand why there are 3 snipers inside of a single story building and not in an elevated position, perhaps like where the shooter was on the roof of said building

That's what I wondered. The part about calling in backup is ridiculous. How about, I don't know, just going outside?

Three snipers were stationed inside building used in Trump assassination attempt There were three snipers stationed inside the building the shooter used during Saturday's shooting of former President Donald Trump, a local law enforcement officer with direct knowledge of the incident tells CBS News. The operations plan had them stationed inside the building looking out windows toward the Trump rally. The information about the three snipers being inside the building was first reported by BeaverCountian.com. One of the snipers inside saw Thomas Matthew Crooks outside and looking up at the roof, observing the building and disappearing, a local law enforcement officer tells CBS News. Crooks came back, sat down and looked at his phone. At that point, one of the snipers took a picture of him. Crooks took out a rangefinder and the sniper radioed to the command post. Crooks disappeared again and then came back a third time with a backpack. The snipers called in with information that he had a backpack and said he was walking towards the back of the building. Officers believe that Crooks might have used an air conditioning unit to get on top of the roof. By the time other officers came for backup, he had climbed on top of the building and was positioned above and behind the snipers inside the building, the officer said. Two other officers who heard the sniper's call tried to get onto the roof. State police started rushing to the scene, but by that time, a Secret Service sniper had already killed Crooks, the officer said.
