Same. I donate only to my parish. Not to the diocese, the Vatican, Catholic Charities, etc.

Because if we, for religious reasons, are to be tolerant of the illegal immigration of millions and make space for them. Then why can't the same reasoning be used to allow a billion more to come in when the next democrat takes over
That's how most non Orthodox American Jews think.
I don't give a shite about the plight of the migrants. In many cases, the Catholics and their charities have propped up nearly every leftie in Latin America, which create the plight which you describe (in addition to the tendency of Central and South America to be corrupt AF.) There are plenty of poor American kids that have priority.

The religion haters in this thread are lying about what this statement says.
OP is fake news and is peddling his hate just like MSNBC or CNN, based on a lie. Don't let them divide Christians.

Perhaps you should try reading the Bible and I don’t mean the version with the missing seven books since you guys want to follow what the Jews say. What you all claim is that the church didn’t exist correctly for 1500 years until that moron Luther decided he wanted to split off.

This is NOT "The Way". When you have something like this ungodly socialist as the 'leader' of your church.

I love how the intelligent debate on Christianity must be held while some of these morons are unmoved in their belief that 60% of all Christians are going to hell because they worship the devil.
Tell me you're an insecure, petulant child without telling me.

Yep, I agree Bergoglio was a disaster. But when I hear of upheaval in the Catholic Church I remember what then Secretary of State Ercole Cardinal Consalvi (1757 - 1824) said to Napoleon when he threatened to destroy the Catholic Church,"Your Majesty, we priest have been trying to destroy the Catholic Church for 1800 years, we failed and you will too".
Bottom line, Jesus said He would be with His Church (the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church) till the end of time......
"teaching them to observe all the commandments which I have given you. And behold I am with you all through the days that are coming, until the consummation of the world". - Matthew 28.20
Each of us must fight against inordinate attractions and tendencies - a consequence of Original Sin. Priest just have a bigger target painted on their back than us laity. We should pray for our priest everyday.....and for each other.

And as a catholic, while I understand the proclamation that we should be sympathetic to the plight of the immigrants, many of whom are catholic, I'd prefer that that understanding be different than an open door policy for millions and then millions and millions of people who can get here (across that border).

Not only is a cash cow for Catholic Charities, it is also a pipeline of H1B visas for priests.
