They won't have any voting rights. Canadians will have the same status like Puerto Ricans with no voting power.
They would just move across the (former) border and there goes that. Way to think it through.

Canada suspend trade talks with US.

This all began during Trump’s first term, under the leadership of Trudeau and Freedland.
Lighthizer and team made it crystal clear that Mexico and Canada belonged on bilateral trade agreements, while Canada preferred a trilateral agreement that would continue to allow it to exploit the NAFTA loopholes that persisted into the USMCA agreement.
Canada built an assembly economy that purposefully allowed China to circumvent trade policies of the US ….. to the tune of trillions over time. China owns a significant portion of Canada’s manufacturing facilities…. and it isn’t because they want to support Canadian markets.
Now Trump is forcing Canada into a bilateral agreement to address numerous trade deficiencies …. and rightfully so.
I feel bad for the average Canadian citizens ….. you can bet they are not getting true information from their state-controlled media … and that’s why their leadership has been able to put them at risk

Woody, do you think we’re playing a board game?

Not my line, but I once read that Canada is what happens if Reddit got to run a country.
Perfect summation of their leadership.
Perfect summation of their leadership.

When do we start bombing Canada?
Posted on 8/22/26 at 9:47 am to Boom33
No, Canada (except maybe for Alberta), can be a territory. And get no Senator, reps or votes in US business. Just like a new Puerto Rico.

We should have told Canada to ‘frick off, you’re on your own’ long ago.

All around disappointing. Neither they nor we can gain from an across the border feud. Stupid.

You'd just be adding a bunch of leftists to fill in senate and house seats.
Territories don’t get house seats or electoral votes.

They can already do that now. But they still remain as Canadians, no voting rights. Forever remain a second class citizen.

That's exactly what I mean. Canada becomes our territory and Canadians don't get any reps or votes just like Puerto Ricans. We get to control all their resources and greatly expand our Empire. Next we target Greenland.
