Trump should announce a 1000% tariff on US toilet paper. Canada imports 80% of it.

Good. Time for us to build new sources.

They have been trying to build a gas pipeline from Marcellous (some of which new york state actually sits on) for over 8 years and the greenies have blocked it.

It would have saved 50% to the existing costs, so now they will pay 75% more. Dumb arses. They have illegals shatting and pissing all over the places you walk, but a gas pipeline, oh my!, that will harm the environment.

Blue States....The anti-Trump media blitz will be in full swing now. This gives the Democrats something to bash Trump even harder.

Sure. But they are using Canadian electricity (it’s been on a decline but we still use it). So now what? How do we fix this quickly so that we aren’t losing those dollars out of our local economies on a daily basis? I hate Canada and have made that clear for years. But they have to play what they can to inflict damage. I don’t blame them but I’m not cheering for them either. We also play the FAFO game and this is us on the FO part.

Three states that love higher taxes, so those voters should be happy.

Doesn't their main east-west pipeline run through the U.S.? We should do something about that.

Why can’t we redirect power from other plants there.

We should not be buying power from Canada in the first place

My thoughts exactly. Let em suffer for a bit, then Trump can come in and save them. They’ll still blame him but at least an American company will be making the money.

Didn’t those Canadian dipshits say they were only going after Republican states with their tariffs?

There are at least a couple coal fired plants in WI that haven't been running anywhere near capacity.

One was supposed to shut down this year and has been pushed back a couple times to now 2030. Apparently someone pulled their head out thy arse and saw they didn't have anywhere enough capacity to do so.

Kinda odd to put a tax on exports rather than imports...

OK Then we should just ban the sale of toilet paper to Canada.

Unfortunately, the good people of Upstate NY will feel this a lot more than the worthless shitbags in NYC.
