Me too. I had to call the cops on Wednesday due to a vagrant standing in front of traffic while punching and spitting at vehicles in the Texas Medical Center during afternoon rush hour.

It's amazing how he doesn't ask for all of those homeless he used to pass to be returned to Union Station. If he were true blue, he would have.

Then stop electing the same dolts locally because you know their name. Don't ask for daddy Fed to come in and save you from your own inaction.
Plus you really don't want the military running around urban areas. They aren't trained to be cops, especially the NG. They have real jobs.

I do not consider getting vagrants off the streets "harassment." The zombies I see every morning aren't down on their luck, they are drug addicts putting citizens at risk with their behavior. Making the streets safer is not harassment, that's called law enforcement, for which I pay a shite load of taxes every year.

Hell, Biden did the same thing in DC. The family and I were up there for July 4 in 2022. The whole week we saw maybe half a dozen throughout the entire city. I made a comment to the bartender in our hotel lobby that the city was much cleaner than I expected. That's because in your civic responsibility you've become lazy, probably obsessed with the never ending soap opera that comes out of Washington. Trump v.Democrats, Democrats v.Republicans, etc. Meanwhile you ignore the fukks in your backyard who get off putting it to you because you are obsessed with whatever Fox or CNN or whatever cable outlet is feeding you.
Meanwhile your local officials do the bare minimum and you think that Daddy Fed will come in and make it all better. Policing is a local responsibility. Don't be a lazy old coot and pawn it off to Trump, because he'll take the opportunity and I guarantee that the power you relinquish to the Feds will stay with the Feds in some fashion. If you relinquish your liberty for security, you'll end up with neither in both the short run and long run.
This is not about Trump and Conservative or Liberal, Inc. It's about local accountability for safety and order. Get up off your arse, go to a council meeting, jump your local legislators arse. Don't let the Feds do it....your local and state officials would love that. They don't have to do shite.

Wow. I would have loved for Union Station to be cleaned up when I lived in DC
A few years back I used to volunteer on weekends at a food pantry, and I still regret wasting that time. There are 10 losers for every person who is truly just down on their luck. You start to realize most of the efforts to help those folk is just enabling societal parasites, who spend their existence harassing pedestrians for money, drugged out and squatting in public parks
