I hate these social media posts with no links to what they claim.
I would say that the chance of this being true is approximately 0%
ETA - I'm not saying it's not possible but I'll need some proof before blindly believing this

Until I see where a credible news outlet is reporting this, I'm going to consider this as bullshite and clickbait.

They think that’s bad. Wait until they get fined for idling too long.

All I know is that I've got family that are linemen, and they make an absolute fortune when working in California after their myriad natural disasters.
One of them, before the age of 30, completely paid off 320 acres, a $250,000 home and a $125,000 shop building. People are about to make some serious bank off of California's mismanagement and misfortune.

its annoying but people blindly sharing them with no verification are the bigger issue

Oh well that's it, end of story. Whatever the news says is absolute fact. They would never omit anything.

Nobody said "end of story". Just asking for maybe a second source other than a guy calling himself Lars Ultra MAGA Larson. Does that seem willfully ignorant to you? There are thousands of smaller conservative news sources out there and none of them have independently verified it. They are just citing this Lars guy.
If there was some fleet of Oregon Fire trucks lined up in Sacramento being inspected, you don't think at least one picture would be out there? There isn't some area 51 base they do these inspections at. Again, may be true but I like at least one source on my information coming from outside of a single tweet.

Doesn’t surprise me one bit.

I clicked on his link to the news story. The news story cited never reported anything about inspections. Just Oregon sending 75 engines and personnel.
Poster asks for a source (or basic discernment) for an OP that is clearly meant to trigger.
Gets heavily downvoted.
People (on both sides) are so eager to be outraged that even asking for substantiation gets hammered.
How do people get through everyday life being this easily manipulated?

You'd be surprised. A train caught fire and by the time it stopped it was on a wooden bridge. Staff put in a request to move it but was told they couldn't because it was against regs to move a train that was on fire.
The staff watched as the fire transfered to the bridge and everything went down.

Well, motherfricker, Lars CITED a news story.
I go check the news story and it is NOT what he said. Not even close. What he said was not even mentioned.
So right now, Lars Larson looks like he is making up something for clicks.
Now if he said firemen told me..... that would be different but he didn't do that. He cited a phony source.

Actually you kind of ARE saying it’s not possible. That’s what 0% odds mean. I guess you are saying it’s approximately not possible.

I know, right? What would 'she' say about a wheel chair bound person? A heavier set woman? The lack of humanity and basic understanding of the JOB she's supposed to be honoring is astounding.

Reminds me of the time, I think it was after Hurricane Sandy. Utilites from southern states sent linemen up north to help repair the utility lines only to be sent back because they didn't have a union card.

At least LAFD is diversified. Diversification > Qualification.

I'd turn my arse around and go home.

And they'll have to be electric in very short order.
