I would think that actually fighting the fire is paramount, but then again, I have sense.

Our four Seattle firefighters who deployed with a Strike Team to help battle the Los Angeles wildfires arrived in Woodland, CA late last night. This morning the fire engines were put through a mandatory apparatus inspection and the crews are now headed to assist with the Palisades Fire response.
Sounds a little less dramatic than the click bait BS that OP posted to be honest

fighting the fire is paramount for sure, and that happens far more efficiently by following established protocols especially in a multi agency and multi state massive effort like this. thats going to include checking in. call it inspection if you want to sound ominous. example - 8 dudes rolling in from oregon. need all their info before they go on my scene. ive been doing this for decades
but sure, lets hear about your sense and what you think. sketch out your plan for resolving this event

But, that's exactly what the op stated. A mandatory inspection had to happen before they could proceed. They had to check in at Woodland,Ca.
That's not Woodland Hills of Los Angeles. That's Woodland of Sacramento.
They had to stop at the state capital for an apparatus inspection and then off to fight the fire six hours away.
Seriously. You guys just did the meme.
You went from "It didn't happen" to "Why it's a good thing."
