I clicked on the link to the KABC story (the one the OP linked) and could find no reference to anything about any perp saying anything about "white privlige".

In this thread I learned AggieHank lives rent free in all of your heads. I'm no liberal and likely disagree with him a lot politically but he won this thread. He chose his words carefully and answered every call with calmness and clarity. All he got back was childhood insults. This thread is an example of this "group think" or "mob mentality" that so many of us rail against the liberals for. Seems as though both sides of the aisle need to tighten the frick up and stop group bullying because you don't agree or can't respond intelligently enough so insults are the result instead. Classic childlike or uneducated behavior. Many times this board is the epitome of the issues it rails against. Don't agree=bash. Think many you might be closet libs based on how you react to someone you don't agree with.

The issue with the Arbery case is that it took months for any charges to be filed. Not sure if this Vanroy person has been charged, though I assume he has. If not, then yes, they are similar.
