I suspect this type of issue will happen at some point in the next decade, but not with Newsom trying to run for president and not over ICE.

Yeah that isn't how that works and the one calling for this is retarded. Feds can supercede the State's Chain of Command. All Trump has to do is Federally Activate them and he can order assistance to ICE, which would be funny.

Easy solution. Use Title 10 to activate the Cali national guard under federal control for the purpose of enforcing federal law. Cali loses control of the guard and they start assisting ICE!
