If the American is asking for 20 dollars the Hispanic is asking for 18 dollars and he does it fast with no drama.

This is the construction business now in most of the US. They can put up that drywall no doubt. It ought to be a job for worthless major, female college graduates.

All I know is that the Mexicans that come here and provide services and work, come to work when they are supposed to, and finish the job and provide good quality and do it in less time thatn the locally born. I don't care what it is, construction or tire services. Work their asses off, do a good job and charge a competitive or fair price. Just curious.
Are you a tariff defender?

You don't know those things. For one, Mexicans are known for their half-assed sloppy construction work. Don't take my word for it, have a look at the extensive library of YouTube foulups. And I personally have had many service problems in restaurant orders because their English is unacceptably bad, and their attitudes sucked when problems arose.
All this is moot anyway. The vast majority of citizens want them out, even the good employess and all-around decent ones.

That's between them and their contractor and whether the workers are treated as W2 or 1099. I really don't know any contractor that pays any worker under the table.... but you can go with that narrative if it helps you sleep better.. But the tire guys? You bet your arse they do. They are business owners with licenses. So they pay local sales taxes and state income and federal taxes.

Talked to 2 contractors who told me the same. Illegals deported or self deporting. The ones who are left are asking for more money because they know that they are in demand.

Imagine getting so upset about grammar that you have to write an entire insult about the person correcting it. The irony practically proofreads itself.

Evidence rather than anecdotes would be nice.

he Mexican / Central Americans don't do that or have those problems to any great extent. They come do the job, work their arse off make the same wage as the American but do it faster. No drama either.
Sounds like HB1 workers. Don't complain about 14hr days, family comes second to work, willing to work for the wages an American barely gets out of bed for.

Which is about $100/hr.
And they suck.
Give me the illegals.
Who's paying 100 an hour for hanging drywall? I'll change careers for that kind of money.

Really are indentured servants. They can't make as much as Americans who don't want to do the work. They can't complain much or they will find themselves sent home. And construction companies take advantage of them.

Nope, tariffs are counter productive in this day and age.

From my experience these dudes suck at grunt work like hanging drywall. Most of them are to fricked up on pills and duck out of work as they feel. Give me the Guatemalans all day.

To Whom It May Concern,
If your business model is dependent on illegals to keep you profitable or operating at all, you're no better than a plantation owner in 1850.

What, you want pictures? I've never had a problem with the results of Mexican labor whether it was plumbing issues drywall, painting or roofing.
Also never had any issues in a restaurant. But, then, I actually paid attention in high school and college Spanish.....unlike a lot of you baws who probably had problems with understanding correct English

I applaud you for that. I wish everyone else would do the same.
Just in case you still have his info:

Also, let me know if you need an American electrician.
