2 things are fascinating are that we keep seeing them and yet zero physical evidence has turned up. In almost 80 years since Roswell NM. (Or The Battle of LA - 1942)

Since the tech seems to always elude our ability to track or shoot them down, they're not ours.
That leaves 3 likely options.
1. We're not seeing what we think we see. Naturally forming scenarios, optical illusions, conditions which form ordinary and explainable events which we've not yet discovered. Not aliens. This is the least satisfying.
2. They're here. Having traveled through actual physical space from other solar systems within our galaxy. And don't give a flip about who sees them. As one whose interest lies in the SETI camp of finding intelligent ETs, I'd like to see the evidence. I don't buy it.
3. They're here, but are interdimensional (time?) travelers, which really is even more mind bending. I really haven't the brain power to unwrap all that this could entail. If interstellar travel is hard to grasp...
And as for why don't our HD megapixel camera equp pick up better images? Most are being used by inexperienced amateurs who have no clue how to use a cam or hold it steady. Or they're at night, when most cameras aren't made for.
Also...
There's the theory that if these 'craft' are real, there's some advanced tech at play which warps the physical space around them that makes high resolution imagery very difficult. Not impossible, as there ARE clear shots that most just dismiss as models.

If there were aliens sending stuff here it wouldn’t be something as massive as that. It would likely be discrete or undetectable to humans. Afterall they would be smarter than us if they’re able to travel great distances to get here

Aliens or not. It’s still UFO’s . If it’s our technology, we paid for, the public has a right to know.

Considering we now can pick up possible indications of life on other exoplanets, and life on Earth has existed for 100's of millions of years, that's not really a problem.
