Just had an election where they fought for the states to run elections.

This is an overreach.

Sorry, but isn't up to the state legislatures to set the timing and manner of their elections?

Good, good, I hope these folks keep lurching further and further left. The more “moderates” they piss off in Texas the more that won’t resist TEXIT.

These are good thing ls for Texas and yes before you ask I have switched to a Texas first attitude. The rest can go to hell.

An outsider will never win again. The GOPe will win again when it’s their turn. Turtle gave away the senate because he got the blame for allowing Trump to get the nomination in 2016.
The swamp was mad at him.

At to Presidential elections, this would be unconstitutional.

It'd be great to have a set of national standards for voting that would allow as many people as possible access to having their votes submitted, but the Constitution doesn't agree.

There is that pesky constitution getting in the way again.

Also, you forgot the word “legal” in front of votes submitted. That’s how Chyna Joe won was with illegal and illegally harvested ballots which turned the former United States into a banana republic.

Well, this last election cracked the illusion of freedom for many... this should shatter it...

Voting is meaningless...

They want to ban any way to identify a vote as actually having come from the voter...but there’s no fraud. Ridiculous.

We have reached idiocracy levels already that so many people accept this farce.

Worse than this.

I’m not sure if it is in this bill or another election bill rolling around the House but they want the Federal Government to draw to congressional districts not the State Legislatures

This is scary.

They should just write in "And the Democrats win every national election by default" at the end.

Damn right one that outlawed universal mail in ballots and required an ID for every vote cast.

And what part of the Constitution doesn't allow legal adult citizens able to vote?

The Constitution doesn’t regulate voting outside of the four amendments. Voting regulations were reserved for the individual states.

Not that anyone gives a frick about the Constitution these days.

Sounds like this goes through to the supreme court and gets tossed.

If passed this should be taken to SCOTUS because the constitution explicitly states election law are determined by state legislatures.

If you want red states to seriously start pondering secession this bill is how you do it

WTF?

You should probably read the 10th amendment.

quote:

The only thing that anyone should need to vote in any election is the following:

- proof of residency
- proof of age
- proof of citizenship

So voter ID?

It is these steps that have slowly been made over years that won the election for dems.

It isn’t about the ability to vote or suppression.

They want people who aren’t citizens to vote.

They don’t care if people vote twice.

They don’t care if people vote for other people.

You know what percent of absentee ballots get returned or undelivered?

How many absentee voters end up voting in person?

It’s an absolute way if cheating.

The idea voting could happen with no proof that you are the person voting or even mirage of an effort with signatures will end our freedoms as we know/knew them.

Why not just vote online then with face recognition? Hell of a lot cheaper.
