Our Secretary of State (Louisiana) loves Dominion Voting machines. That’s why.

"Doctor Cassidy" regarding the Covid Vaccine:

Cassidy said he understood that some people would be reluctant to get a vaccine that’s been developed on such an accelerated timeline, but he believes public confidence will grow after they see the success of the initial doses, which according to Louisiana’s state plan, will be distributed to front-line health care workers and then those working in nursing homes.

Legislature passed a law that some races will now be closed primaries. Senate is one of them. They should ALL be closed primaries!

Not a fan, but the way to win is to tell us about a good alternative.
Pitch your case.

We had the simplest least confusing system in the country… always producing a winner with over 50% +1. we only adopted closed primaries because national people told us we should.

Who are those people and why do THEY want closed primaries?

How is this possible? Cassidy sucks.

Once elected, very hard to get out. That is why we need term limits...........every state, every elected official. PEOPLE ARE TOO STUPID TO DO IT AT THE POLLS.

No offense but WHO? Surely we can find a semi-competent republican with some name recognition to run.

It is the current leadership of the state Republican party and Jeff. They want to ensure that Republicans vote for the most extreme candidate in the Primary so you are forced to vote for their excrement candidate in the general election.

If I don’t recall, that was how Jeff was elected to congress. Jeff appeared to be the most extreme candidate on the right in 2010 when we tried party primaries in 2010. He beat former Speaker of the House Hunt Downer in the Republican primaries. So when the general election was held, the 3rd district, which ran along the coast from New Iberia to St. Bernard, we had a choice, Landry or a democrat trial attorney. We had to choose Landry.

Cassidy has locked up the money.

It's going to take a lot of money and a decent candidate to primary a sitting Senator.

The so called no it all's have said, look, shouldn't we spend millions on defeating Democrats, not a sitting Republican Senator?

The wildcard is Trump. If Trump goes all in against Cassidy, it might get interesting. If Cassidy plays nice and supports Trump on the big votes, he can likely keep Trump out of it and win.

If Cassidy keeps lining up with Collins, Murkowski and McConnell he will screw himself. I suspect he won't screw himself because he wants to win.

I hope Trump goes after him. He's horrible.
