So, in an effort to make America better, we are going to start charging a 15% tax on everything not made in China.

Try again.

Yet another confirmation of who our country’s “leadership” actually serves.

Hint: It’s not we, the people of this country.

It is indefensible, yet somehow they will support it and continue to vote Dem. It is mindboggling how stupid they are and how much they hate our country and its citizens.

That is not at all what it is. Big business are having all of their labor done in China to avoid dealing with American labor unions. This is wealthy people both democrat and republicans doing this for their own gain and our government is helping them do it. Why do you think so many republicans like Romney were against Trump? They are in on the deals.

From what I've read, it really doesn't affect us because our tax rates are already over the threshold. That also being said, the President can't just unilaterally agree to things and have that actually mean something, so it's also pointless there too.

We should be basically at war with China for what they pulled on us (& the world, ) and instead we are giving them tax exemptions?

As is China. It's complete fear porn. China attracts manufacturing because of low wages. That's true no matter how much you frick with the tax rate. No one if parking loans or IP there, though. Meanwhile, Ireland fricks us with treaties and disparate intangible rules.

Ireland, the Caribbean, and Cyprus. That's who this is targeting.

Well, if anyone moves their HQ to China and keeps their cash there, I don’t have much sympathy for them.

Why exemptions for CCP? Biden is getting paid handsomely!

Answer: Because Climate Change has never been about the environment. It was, and always will be, a scam to shift global wealth.

If the left was serious about a clean and healthy planet, they also would wonder why the largest polluters are always exempted.

They don't have to be subject to any of the global warming restrictions despite being the largest polluter on the planet, so why would this be any different?

15% of what? Revenue? Profit? What standards do they use to determine what revenue and profit actually are? Are we talking American standards or European. What if the 15% using American rules is less than 15% using European rules? Does the company get to pick? Where does the entity have to pay? Who determines that?

they just want all corporations to pay a minimum of 15% in taxes, regardless of what country they are based out of. If a company is based out of a country with a lower tax and does business in countries with higher taxes; they now have to pay a minimum of 15%. Who collects the money?

There will be no money to collect. There is no advantage to a country to lower their taxes below 15%, therefore there will be no countries with a tax rate lower than 15%.

Ireland says hi. And you're wrong about there being no advantage. Ireland vultures profits from other countries by promoting base erosion and profit shifting mechanisms and that's how 50% of Ireland's tax revenue is generated by American multinationals.
