Ben Shapiro’s take on Massie

I know this board hates him, but I thought his theory was interesting.
He says he actually liked Massie for most of his career and agreed with his small government stances, but Massie changed this second Trump term.
He thinks that Massie knew he was cooked since he wouldn’t be getting Trump’s endorsement, so he started with the Epstein/Israel stuff, teaming with democrats, and attacking Trump to set up a podcaster/entertainer roll after Congress.
It doesn’t sound far fetched.

Massie’s whole demeanor and everything about him changed almost immediately after that new woman attached herself to him following the death of his wife it seems like.

The same disease that befell Massie is the same disease that afflicts a lot of career establishment repubs. At some point they want their turn in the spotlight, which usually presents itself by repeatedly and purposefully choosing the most ridiculous hills to die on because they wanna be the GUY. When they finally get called on their petulant shite, they seek cover with democrats because it’s never really about principle. It’s about holding onto and amassing power. End of the day, they end up on the scrap heap of turn coat repubs like Mike Pence and others.. Never underestimate how much people across all walks of life despise someone who has the stench of a backstabber and a turn coat. It lets everyone know you can’t be trusted.

I'm never going to understand this. I really do not consume his content at all, but the few clips I have seen here and there he seems smart, rational, and conservative. I've never understood the issue with him besides him being Jewish, which obviously shouldn't be an issue

I don't hate Ben. I just recognize that he's Israel-First.
He's an intelligent guy and well spoken. I agree with him more than disagree, but it's subjective.
His theory here certainly makes sense. It's not exactly esoteric now, the fact that Massie has become a whore, and the podcast game would certainly give him a steady supply of coin, recognition and the potential for an endless array of poon.

There’s no doubt he’s extremely intelligent, but he was never a “Trump guy” and begrudgingly supported him in both elections.
He’s warmed up to Trump this term, but that rubbed many people the wrong way in the past.
He’s also very biased towards Israel. I listen to him daily and can even admit this.

Ok. What's wrong with that? Trump is not a conservative so that seems pretty rational on his part.

I think this is more of Michael Knowles theory that Shapiro agrees with
