Ben Shapiro on Trump today.

On his show today he announced that he is hosting a fundraiser for Trump. Said he preferred DeSantis but the race is now a binary choice and that everyone should jump on the Trump train. Tell me again why Shapiro is a never Trumper and an enemy of the people. Is it because he sometimes criticizes him?

I think the vast majority of it (his “schtick”) is trying to get as many “clicks” as possible to make as much money as possible. Ultimately. End of the day. Once the dust settles.

Its "conservatives" that dont like him. The omb crowd is lashing out at him in this thread
He doesnt like trump the guy but understands its better to vote for him vs biden.
Pretty sure he voted for him in 2020 too. prob not 2016 though.

For better or worse, people like him need to be in the fold to have any sort of chance.

For all his faults, Trump is way better than anyone the Democrats have put up in years.
I wish the Rs could find the perfect candidate, but Trump is apparently the best we can put up there and I support that sumbitch.

I am 95% sure he supported Trump in 2020, though he did not in 2016. If memory serves, he wrote a good piece explaining that by 2020, the concerns over Trump’s volatility had proven to be outweighed by the track record of significant, conservative policy successes in most areas, with the near certainty of poor, progressive policy goals to come from Biden. It resonated with me bc I also don’t care for Trump but voted for him anyway in 2020.

If that were so, there are more conservatives that are pro-Trump than never Trump. His grift would be more profitable if he sucked off Trump like SDV and company.

This is me - from day 1
In fact during the primary season on 2016, I opined that I might not even vote if Trump was the nominee - but I knew that was false when I typed it and I regret it to this day.
I do not make any bones about it - I do not like Trump, the person, - although I have been forced to learn more about him than I ever wanted to know, and he is a better man than I opined in 2015. I still don't like his persona, but I find his directness refreshing even if sometimes embarrassing.
BUT
compared to ANY democrat on the planet today - (above the local level) - he is light years more preferable. And in many ways he is inspiring - it is merely his personality traits that I do not tune it to happily.
I would still crawl naked thru broken glass to vote for him in lieu of ANY democrat alive today.
edit - and I am also of the opinion that it may take an honest scoundrel like Trump to overcome the hypocritical, tyrannical, overlords of the evil democrat/media/swamp coalition.
