I bet we will sign some sort of commitment to NATO for 10 years. The Art of the Deal….
Do you mean that the USA commits to being in NATO for 10 years or that NATO commits to defending Greenland for 10 years? Personally I hope we get a 99 year deal that allows us to deploy any military units we want there to protect Greenland and the USA without needing Denmark's permission.

On what planet?
Where's the projected dignity and respect of the office?
He's a cavone and embarrassment whose priorities are warped and narcissistic. Having no concrete beliefs or philosophical platforms, he believes only in the "glory" of state power, authoritarianism, self-promotion, and loyalty for the superficial.

So is this deal us acquiring Greenland or allowing us to put more shite on Greenland, which I thought we could do already?

There are rare earth minerals there that are crucial to national defense.
He said in his speech today they weren’t rare.

Greenland possesses significant, largely untapped deposits of rare earth elements (REEs), including substantial amounts of terbium and dysprosium, which are critical for high-performance magnets used in electric vehicles, wind turbines, and defense technology. These reserves are increasingly viewed as a key strategic alternative to China's dominant, 90% control of the global rare earth supply chain.
quote:
Dysprosium (Dy, atomic number 66) is a silvery, relatively soft rare-earth metal used in powerful magnets (NdFeB), lasers, control rods for nuclear reactors, electronics (speakers, hard drives, EVs), and defense systems, enhancing high-temperature performance and miniaturization
quote:
Terbium (Tb, #65) is a silvery-white, rare earth metal, valued for its strong green luminescence, used in displays (LCDs, LEDs) and X-ray screens, as well as in high-performance magnets (magnetostrictive alloys) for motors and sensors, and in nuclear medicine as a therapeutic isotope (Tb-161). It's found in minerals like gadolinite and monazite, is relatively rare, and is processed from minerals like bastnasite, but is moderately toxic, primarily in its oxide or dust form, requiring careful handling.

Yep. He’s a master at creating leverage then using it.

No mention of Special Envoy Jeff Landry

A “deal” has always been there. This really has been much ado about nothing.

Not really. This is what many have said from the start. No need to own it to militarize it.

I'm sorry this isnt' going the way you want it to go. It's ok though. I'm sure you'll find another reason to scream.

I know. Getting NATO members to pay up to 5% of GDP instead of less than 2% for decades was really getting his arse handed to him. What a failure.

Don't keep that inside information to yourself. Tell those of us who don't know what is in the deal.

A bunch of know nothing sad sacks.
In fact, Harris will win:
GOP has been on a losing streak since 2018.
This will be a record turnout election, and Trump hasn’t really expanded his base, and Harris has a broad coalition of anti-Trumpers.
The Harris campaign has had a lot more money on hand.
You know nothing.
