f your daughter is a minor, there is no reason not to allow you.

She is 25.
Normally she would have just driven herself. That's how I knew she was in serious pain. When she asked me to come get her and drive her.
From about mid-calf down her leg and foot look really bad. Very red and swollen.
She has been taking Benadryl and ibuprofen. It had no effect.

On a separate point: I’m okay with you peeing in parking lot if you can’t find a bottle. Mans gotta go mans gotta go. But out of necessity, not spite.
No, I really had to pee. I just wanted to go in and use the restroom. I actually held it until I got back to my daughter's house.
I wasn't angry that they wouldn't let me in. I was just kind of surprised. I didn't have a bottle in the car. I usually keep my car cleaned out pretty well.

They pumped her full of antibiotic in the ER. Then they gave her a prescription for some more.
She will get it filled when the Pharmacy opens in the morning.
She's an outdoors type. Bites and stings are not something she ever has a problem with. That's why this was scary.
It has been slightly swollen ever since she got bit. However, it just blew up suddenly and became extremely painful.
My daughter is not the run to the doctor type. She is more of the "rub a little dirt on it and it will be alright" type.
This just got out of hand pretty quick.

Not referring to this situation specifically, but in these times, you really need to consider whether or not you should go to the Emergency Room, Urgent Care, or call your Family Doctor.
In general, that's always a good policy to follow, but you're not going to find a concentration of infected COVID patients in your Family Doctor's office or an Urgent Care center like you will in a hospital.
It's also a good policy to keep Benadryl, Tylenol, Aspirin, Antibacterial Ointment, Bandaids, a Thermometer, and an ACE bandage in your medicine cabinet.

That's what I was gonna say cellulitis is no joke and can become life threatening. Glad they've got her on antibiotics.

My wife has a best friend who's 77, outdoor type. They talked yesterday and the lady said she's more afraid right now of getting wasp stung than getting the virus because she can get killed by a sting. She always has an epipen on her person just for that reason. Said she has a nest somewhere on her place and was going to have her son to try and find it.

this thread is reading like a case study in what self quarantining is doing to many of us.
Anybody who is medically concerned about his child should do whatever it takes. I had a friend in college whose dad was doing perfectly fine. Then he was dead a couple hours later and they never figured out what happened to him.

Maybe they were riled up because rain caused the creek to swell and the ant nest was flooded. When it floods pretty bad, I’ve seen floating islands of pissed off ants, clinging to each other, waiting to hit land and build a new nest.
I would be at that creek with a can of gas and some matches in the morning.

Sounds like you acted like a sheep and went and waited with the flock...

Jesus Christ.
You got seen inside 30 minutes. You have likely never seen an er doc that quickly.
Why exactly are you complaining?
Because they wanted to keep you safe?
