My daughter (no pics) called and asked me to come take her to the emergency room.

She stepped on an ant nest at the creek down behind their house. This happened day before yesterday.

She has never had any problems with stings or bites. However her foot and ankle are blown up like a football.

She went in while I parked the car. When I got to the door they told me unless I needed to see a doctor I had to wait in the car.

They wouldn't even let me come in and take a whiz. Guess who's parking lot is getting pissed on.

If your daughter is a minor, there is no reason not to allow you. If she is an adult, I could see that being ok.

With insect bites there's this thing called anaphylactic shock. It will kill you in minutes.

You are an absolute fricking moron.

I'm not going to chance my daughter life over some people that have the sniffles.

I don't give a frick if it's crowded or not. I'm not going to risk anaphylactic shock for my daughter over any son of a bitch with this Chinese flu.

Glad you had such a sense of urgency. Did you maybe think about getting some benadryl 2 days ago?

You sound dumb

ER is for emergencies. Emergency Room. Unless she was experiencing difficulty breathing, why would you go to the ER? Take Benadryl. Maybe call PCP, maaybeee urgent care; but ER??!

If this was the zombie apocalypse I bet your arse wouldn’t go to the ER. And yes no visitors allowed: rona is very contagious, why add more people to the list of infected? Sorry but you shouldn’t go to ER for ant bites unless showing signs of impending anaphylaxis, and then you would call 911 anyway unless you close by ER.

On a separate point: I’m okay with you peeing in parking lot if you can’t find a bottle. Mans gotta go mans gotta go. But out of necessity, not spite.

No, they were actually very concerned. In the span of that 36 hours since she got bit it has become infected.

An infection and anaphylactic shock are 2 completely different things

Seems like you're changing your story

At any rate I hope she is doing better

You made that diagnosis over the internet? You should have a cure for this coronavirus within a week.

The doctor did not share your opinion on she should not have came in.

They told her to come back if certain symptoms started happening.

No one is changing their story, you stupid jackass. We were just given a diagnosis.

I'm not a medical professional. I'm not going to risk my daughter's health for any cock sucker with the sniffles.

The doctors were actually very concerned with her foot. They saw nothing wrong with her coming in and even told her to come back if certain symptoms appeared.

So, you can continue to prance around the forum trying to look cool

No, she is an adult. In her twenties.

I didn't expect to be allowed back to the treatment rooms. It kind of surprised me that I wasn't allowed in the building.

The doctor even told her. I'll bet this is the fastest you have ever seen a doctor in an emergency room or a physician's office. It was. She was out of there in 30 minutes

I hope that your daughter ends up ok.

That said, this thread is reading like a case study in what self quarantining is doing to many of us.

Some of them this is just par for the course for them. They always attempt to look as edgy and cool as possible in the forum.

The doctor warned her that this is some very powerful antibiotics. Told her to go home and eat probiotic yogurt. That this antibiotic would kill good and bad in her system.
