She’s Hindu…a religion of hundreds of gods (demons), a religion that hates Christians and persecutes them daily in India…so how does Vance align that within his recent baptism into the Roman Catholic church?

How do they raise their children?

it is all about power. These people, and Vance, crave power above all and will align with anyone no matter how bad if it gets them the power they desire.

Bad advice maybe but no one dictates to Trump. I get why he picked Vance and there were a limited pool of people he could have reasonably picked.

I agree. I also trust Trumps choice. It's all on him. He's been thru it once, if he didn't learn his lesson.... It's going to suck for him.
Personally, I don't think he's been so successful in life by repeating mistakes.

And Tucker Carlson, among others

Tucker Carlson has always had a populist streak. His negative comments about Trump were about Trump being overbearing/insufferable, the sort of thing one might cast in different context after getting to know Trump personally/better or coming to realize just how bent Trump's opposition is.

The past four years — a progressive’s wet dream— would give anyone with a modicum of rationale the ability to see this administration has failed at absolute everything.

Well, maybe she was initially relying on the reporting calling Trump’s speech the reason for the riot and then she read the speech.

OP actually read what you post:

Usha found the incursion on the Capitol and Trump's role in it to be deeply disturbing,' a friend recalled to the Washington Post.

DeSantis, yes, and he showed his true colors.

Vance was only anti-Trump early on. Also, this article is a fake anonymous squib by Washington Compost from a "friend". They've BS'd like that before.

DeSantis is far more genuine in ideology than Vance and I support Vance

The idea that DeSantis is a fake is pretty out there

I’d imagine there’s a lot of opportunity for that to happen from knowing the guy through only the news to knowing him at his dinner table. It’s not wild to think actually knowing a guy might change one’s opinion of him.

Or maybe she still doesn’t like him but supports her husband.

Have you looked around and seen the drastic changes in our country from J6 to now? The country is literally a million times different than J6

It’s amazing how so many people on TD can’t figure out how or why people change their minds on certain things in life.

I used to hate coffee for my entire life until 3-4 years ago where I tried a cup of coffee that I loved and I am now a daily coffee drinker. For 40 something years, I hated coffee with a passion.

So what does that say about people who do a 180 on Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Ron DeSantis, or Marco Rubio?

It’s more social pressure.

It reminds me of one time Bill Maher had Toby Keith on and he kept trying to get him to say Donald Trump hated democracy and Joe Biden was the one true president

Not much different than the vaccines.
