Argentina struck a deal with Beijing on Wednesday to stop using U.S. dollars to pay for Chinese imports and embrace the yuan instead.

The measure, driven by Argentina’s leftist President Alberto Fernández, is designed to relieve the South American country’s dwindling dollar reserves, AP reports.

The deal further enhances China’s rise on the world stage and the diminished role of the U.S. on a host of fronts under President Joe Biden.

After reaching the agreement with various companies, Argentina will use the yuan for imports from China worth about U.S.$1.04 billion from next month, accelerating trade with China as Beijing seeks to gain a further foothold in South America.

By the time the election rolls around people will already be calling for the removal of Biden

Should I give a damn? I have enough problems dealing with you MAGA Trumpers here. I can't worry about those South Americans.

Which means China is willing to exchange their Yuan for Argentine Pesos in order to trade.

Now, who do you think is desperate?

It’s not just subject to South America, dumbass. It’s happening throughout the world.

Experts here have already said that the 27th and 2nd largest economies in the world ditching the US dollar means nothing.

All I can say is that, with certainty, these countries will rue the day they started letting China decide what their currency is valued at.

While it all is rather disturbing the dollar drop in value to basically worthless currency would be disastrous for all nations regardless. China would take the biggest hit after after US. This would implode China internationally as well as internally

It’s pretty obvious that china trying to bankrupt us using a Communist capitalism system as the weapon… it’s a combo that can destroy the dollar if they continue going members. Ti bad we have buffoons more concerned with DEI than actually winning bc they don’t even realize we’ve been at war with China for quite sometime.

Maybe we need to bomb them until they want to accept our democracy again.

They're hanging on to their dollars because they know they're valuable while the Yuan is shite.

As an American...I agree and will be proud to be there to remind them as the "prodigal sons" come home.

As an American who is living in todays America...I worry how we won't have a leader in the WH that will know how to properly capitalize on that day.

You don’t get that the predicted devaluation of the US Dollar might be a cause for concern?

If by “them” you mean American citizens, then I have no doubt that Brandon and company are all in.

You clearly don’t understand how we have trillions in debt, yet keep operating as a nation smoothly.

Educate yourself.

Less demand for the dollar means more price inflation. At best this should concern anyone who cares about their cost of living and/or wealth

China seems to have a pretty clear strategy here.

That has absolutely dick to do with the US continuing to kick the debt can down the road.

Here's a grand idea. Why don't we stop spending money we don't fricking have?

Sooner or later the band aid has to be ripped off.
