re: Anti AR15 people: How is the AR15 functionally different than any other semiauto rifle?

It illustrates the point that he has no knowledge of firearms, and quite frankly doesn't want to know.
I mean when I'm in a discussion and I'm not a SME, I make sure I understand what question is being asked of me and what is the appropriate response.
It's obvious he had no idea what a ranch rifle was...but was apparently too lazy to look it up and instead answered based on the "look" of the weapon.
Which is the entire point.

He was triggered so hard that he ran away to start another thread.

I can answer the OP. It doesn't matter. The AR15 is the weapon of choice for mass murder in America. That's enough.

Ignorance is bliss. All out ban is an all out ban. Not saying one way or the other which one I'm for. I'd go about my life the same either way. Only time I give people grief is when they use 2A or the tyrannical government argument. Sorry, but platform is just fun to own and people genuinely love the rifle. That is why they don't want it going away. It has absolutely zero constitutional basis.

And when the weapon of choice moves to another weapon?

I get what you're saying and I'm with you. Trying to ban just the AR 15 specifically doesn't make sense to me either if you're on that side.

And just how would you know the reasons for people being against an AR ban? You claim to know everyone's motivation based on what exactly?

FIFY. The rest of your post is just a munch longer way of repeating this as your stance.

He ghetto is where most people are murdered. That's enough.

In their minds they probably believe that. But the fact is this was challenged for 10 years in the court system and argued in front of people who have a sole purpose of knowing constitutional law. It was unanimously agreed among judges that owning that weapon has zero basis in the constitution.
If a ban is brought back then it will never be successfully argued under 2nd amendment.

The Cezch Republic has as much if not a greater love of guns as the US. The reason they have such feelings is they refuse to go back to the old soviet days. They do not allow open carry, but you can conceal carry without the need for special permitting.

Heller says otherwise.

It isn’t.

There are a few of you on this board. Can you answer the question above?
I think most of us are just looking at the fact that a lot of the high body count shootings involve high volume magazines and semi-automatic or automatic weapons owned legally (often by people with clear mental health issues).
Focus on a narrow mischaracterization if it makes you feel superior. But the problem isn't hard to understand if you make even the smallest effort to be honest.

Tick... tock
Australia is coming.
It's merely a matter of time.

Heller was a SC decision regarding the ban of ARs? No, it wasn't. Like I said, if Congress and the POTUS put into law a ban of AR 15s, it will never be successfully argued against under 2A.

The only problem here is the democrat’s problem with freedom and the constitution.

Don't expect this number to change much.

When have these been used? I would like specific examples.
