Meh, I get it you think 90% are sold for a stupid reason, I don't deny there are people that buy them for that reason. 90% is laughable.

Would be interesting on here to have those so in favor of don’t you take my rights away after they have had a loved one or family friend killed this way.

Bet the tune would change in heartbeat. Anyone that says otherwise is full of shite.

This logic is poor.

If I lost someone in war, I might come to the same conclusion. Yet we all know that war is a necessary evil at times.

Your post is a great example of you emotional thinking.

You actually sound like you’re not trolling, so if someone made the point that the 9mm pistol is probably responsible for the vast majority of murders what would you think? A quick google search shows that more people are killed with blunt objects (like hammers) than are killed with a rifle of any type. Handguns are used in over half of all murders so why do you feel like you need the same weapon?

Gun control advocates will not stop pushing for more, ever - and I’m ok with that. They have the right to scream it as loud as they want.

I’d almost guarantee you’d buy yourself an AR if you went to the range with one of your buddies and fired one.

Well I pulled that number out of my arse so it very well could be. Point is manufacturers want people to buy them for emotional reasons or at least the ones that advertise in those magazines do. Not saying that’s bad but when whackadoodles pick up on those messages it can get ugly.

Was a mentally challenged kid who used to live across the street from my old man. Was inhumanly strong and loved pro wrestling. Very dangerous kid.

I’m not saying they aren’t great. I like guns too. I’m a normal dude. It’s just not my thing right now. None of that was my point though.
The point is how they are marketed and perceived by most everyone else other than the very small number of people who isn’t that familiar with them.
If only in the interest of trying to figure out why people are so hung up on the AR.

No, but you should be prepared for the pushback when people see that the fantasy being promoted is deemed dangerous.

Like I said, you can live in denial if you want but a little perspective on this would serve AR lovers well. It’s usually a few reckless morons that frick it up for everyone. This will be no different.

You aren't going to lecture anyone who understands the 1994-2004 AWB on perspective.

When y’all ma f*ckas gonna quit pretending this gun can’t shoot 100 rounds in 10-12 seconds semi accurately? Does that sound like something anyone needs?

Given that there are lunatics shooting up schools I’d say yes, yes we do need them. How would you defend yourself against someone on a shooting rampage? Mace? That’s a poor choice.

I will readily admit the Marines have the best uniforms. It is one of the best things about being a Marine. They know who to brand and market themselves. Kudos.
