Oddly enough you keep babbling and never supply any facts.
No wonder you voted for Biden and his racist crime bill.

You seem to hanker for some iteration of Mr. Marx and Mr. Hegel's dialectics and their consequences; what parts of the behaviors of their adherents and their actions make you enamored of such movement, as you have expressed here repeatedly?
Any opinion of the genocides they perpetrated in their pursuit of the same thing you pursue? 70,000,000 ethnic Russians murdered would be a good beginning point. The 150,000,000 that followed the next 100 years would make for a good followup.
What part of incarceration perpetrated by your fellow travelers make you most ready to march for your cause?
Any work in these areas?

If they refuse to work or fail to meet quotas, they can be sent to solitary confinement or otherwise punished, according to disciplinary guidelines.
Similar to if you have a job and fail to do it properly or on time your boss can fire you. If they are assigned to a working cell block and dont work, then they are sent to other housing.

These pecans are then used to make the pecan pies that inmates are served in all Louisiana DOC facilities during holidays. Its work with a purpose. Would be stupid for DOC to pay a private company to cut its grass or perform these other services.

I don’t think the Mayor of Kingstown show is really that far off from how the prison system works. It’s not really a punishment for career criminals it’s just a base of operations

Newsflash, brah, lack of AC and working outside don’t come close to this standard. Also, deliberate indifference is applicable to suits against guards or for failure to monitor medical conditions, you’re alleging a conditions-of-confinement claim that is judged by an entirely different standard. I’m guessing you’re one of the former (or a current?) prison writ writers since you cite caselaw but don’t understand it.

Oh please. But I would say many prisoners have a legitimate complaint in that they are in danger in prison. Not all prisoners are in there for violent crimes. They shouldn't be in the same facility as rapists, murderers, etc. They shouldn't have to fear being raped, shanked, assaulted etc by other prisoners. And not everyone in prison is guilty. Although some of you republicans (mainly Desantis supporters) still fail to recognize that even after seeing what has been done to Trump.

It’s interesting that the men here love to clutch to the low hanging fruit and scream “sHe’S EmOtiOnAL!1!1!111” instead of actually posing a critical argument. I’m extremely open to disagreements, but I really don’t see much in the way of arguments that constitute anything other than “you’re stupid! You’re such a moron! You’ve had sex before!”
It’s so stupid. And now here you are with another personal attack in lieu of an actual argument.
So, cue a laughing emoji with another brilliant critique that will either be “see? I told you” or “idiot” or some other completely futile insult while smugly congratulating yourself for “winning” a discussion by insulting me.

cubbies, have you ever read Mark Carelton's book on Angola?
It was a required text in Louisiana History back in the 1970's (a wonderful man that we lost much too soon to cancer)

I haven’t! I’ll have to look for a copy.
I’m most interested in what education looks like in prisons across the state. Did you know there’s legislation that prevents men older than 25 from receiving special education in Angola? The average age at the time of conviction of someone at Angola is 33. 75% of inmates in state custody are high school dropouts. So a significant number of inmates in Angola aren’t eligible for GED prep because they were too old when they were arrested.
I’m also really interested in reentry.

If you don't want people calling you stupid, don't act stupid. You come off as a college frosh who has had their first whatever101 class and proceeds to act like they're going to bring the light of knowledge to the world. It's obnoxious.

And? If you don’t want to discuss the things I’m interested in- DON’T. No one is forcing you to read my posts or reply to me. Most if not all the threads I start ask questions, anyway. I don’t claim to be an expert of any of the ideas I’ve brought up.
I happen to know a decent amount about certain topics, like DOC for a number of reasons. Notice that another poster basically posted the same things I did about Angola and DOC and his post was upvoted while people are extremely offended by my post(s) with the same information. It’s so juvenile.
