Minus 2 that I know personally.

When does paying for shipping indicate being poor?

Hold fast over Christmas. That’s when many cave for the quick shipping and then they have you for a year.

You are paying for shipping through your $130/yr fees. That might work out for you if you order a bunch of stuff but it probably doesn't for me.
Yep, not feasible for me. I buy Amazon rarely. My wife is a different story.
If you do a little background work, you can beat Amazon pricing on most items you order.

bullshite.
That’s more than 1 in 3.
How can kids have accounts?
Fake news

Once a year they let you do a 30-day trial.
Great for Nov-Dec

Perhaps the estimate also includes Business Prime. Amazon does not break out the prime numbers by country, so estimates are made.

Order $25 or more to qualify for FREE Shipping

I shop locally first and if I can't find what I want, I browse on Amazon and try to shop their vendors websites. I canceled them when they canceled Parlor, and I never had Parlor or any other social media except for TD. Amazon is not the only one who offers free shipping. It's almost a must to stay in business these days.

It doesn’t. It’s just one of the immature things a little twerp says to try to be cool.

I cancelled 2 days ago. I got a refund too. Billionaires become billionaires pennies at a time from millions of people. Shop locally. Stop buying from Amazon. Ok to buy on line if necessary. Just avoid Bezos.
The local community needs the consumers to be viable. If you care at all about your community, your neighbors, your church just STOP.

Take a look at Amazons breakdown of profit and revenue by stream. This is a cute thing to do, but they really don’t give a shite. Subscriptions are < 5% of their $300 billion of revenue.

Amazon prime, moves suck now as what they did 7 years ago and they collect state taxes now and I doubt they ever pay it to your states either. Amazon used to have exceptional quality control over vendors now when you go to buy something you have to double check to see if you are really buying from Amazon or a third party.
Other options exist today and I fully agree its best to buy local and keep that money local if possible.
My monthly membership ends in a couple of weeks and I'm moving for good. Their delivery drivers are worse than our old paper boy. They leave shite all over the place despite explicit instructions and signage.

A couple of the more stupid posts on TD I have seen.
In my business, I usually get everything I need overnight with NO shipping cost.
I can get other stuff 2-3 days with NO shipping cost.
If I need something overnight or in a few days that I can't procure next day or in a few days, I can get it with $10-20 shipping cost that I usually pass on to the customer.
Same thing with my personal needs, I make it a huge point to shop locally FIRST.
Why? Because I am supporting my local business that are supporting my business and me.
When I buy local, I am helping keep local folks in a job, who in turn, are supporting my and other local business.
AND if I can't procure the item(s) needed, I will go directly to the vendors website and purchase it.
It's all a cycle. Keep your money local and circulating throughout your local community.

Really??
A lot of the crap you are buying off amazon is either cheap imitation chinese crap or inferior reject junk that can't be sold in regular stores.
Are you really going to buy stuff from amazon that you are going to eat and/or ingest into your body?
You have no idea where this stuff is coming from or who you are buying it from.
BTW, if you do some comparison shopping amazon is not really that cheaper than what you can get locally or direct from the vendor.
I am by no means making OT money, but I can know with confidence that when I am shopping locally first and buying directly from the vendor, I am getting the real stuff.
