...and that they want a 70% pay hike and zero progress toward automation like other countries have now...

I AM 100% FOR AUTOMATION...
These mob assholes are gonna hold this country hostage and laugh about it, and Biden as said he will not stop them, simply to get union votes....I hope they automate EVERYTHING and fire them all.

Indeed. Automate away.

We need fewer low level jobs in this country and more entrepreneurship.

Bring on the robots.

It’s going to be very interesting how this works out. Dem politicians seem to be on the Union side here, it’s pretty hard to believe their voting base is going to have sympathy for these guys demands when certain items they buy daily are running out.

This is the kind of project and tech the infrastructure bill should have been funding. This would be very deflationary and help offset other inflationary trends.

give them their raise, then automate them out of their jobs, that way the people will not be harmed

The guy drives a Bentley. And has a massive yacht. The offer to these clowns needs to be lowered and they need to be told to take it or leave it.

I always love uneducated post like these. Over the last 20 years CEO pay has went from 1 million a year to 30 million plus a year. Why the workers pay was stagnant. Considering this I am all for workers getting their pound of flesh. The CEOs and owners can afford to take a pay cut.

In general, I agree. But in the context of this particular strike, you are wrong. The demands being made here are outrageous.

Deflationary would be getting rid of the 15 million illegal aliens that are given taxpayer money for food and shelter. Not to mention these illegals #1 way to make money is selling food on the side of the road. And people wonder why food prices sky rocketed at the same time illegals started pouring into the US

I work in the oil industry, and I want a guarantee that the oil price will never drop below $75 a barrel, natural gas will never go below $4 per mcf, and the industry will not be automated.

Do you think the White House and others would support that?

Talk about uneducated. The work they do doesn’t justify their salary now, let alone a 70% hike. Let the machines take over and never worry about being held hostage again.

You might be correct. But CEO pay going from 1 million to 30 million plus is even more outrageous. So I believe in order to get fair treatment so times you have to resort to outrageous tactics

The machines are not ready to take over fully. So they can definitely cripple the US with this strike. The billionaire owners and CEOs can decide if they want to lose it all
