…How then shall we perform it?--At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it?-- Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step the Ocean, and crush us at a blow?
Never!--All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest; with a Buonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years. At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us.
It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide. I hope I am over wary; but if I am not, there is, even now, something of ill-omen, amongst us.
I mean the increasing disregard for law which pervades the country; the growing disposition to substitute the wild and furious passions, in lieu of the sober judgment of Courts; and the worse than savage mobs, for the executive ministers of justice. This disposition is awfully fearful in any community; and that it now exists in ours, though grating to our feelings to admit, it would be a violation of truth, and an insult to our intelligence, to deny. Accounts of outrages committed by mobs, form the every-day news of the times. They have pervaded the country, from New England to Louisiana;--they are neither peculiar to the eternal snows of the former, nor the burning suns of the latter;--they are not the creature of climate-- neither are they confined to the slave-holding, or the non-slave- holding States. Alike, they spring up among the pleasure hunting masters of Southern slaves, and the order loving citizens of the land of steady habits.--Whatever, then, their cause may be, it is common to the whole country.

Mr Lincoln was a tyrant who abandoned the constitution, jailed his detractors, and was the cause of 600,000 dead Americans. His grave should be pissed on daily.

He was the original election fraudster as well. He won in 1864 by creating a new state (Kansas) and splitting up Virginia to give himself more electoral votes. He also dispatched Union soldiers to polling places to intimidate voters. His generals abandoned any notion of rules of engagement, as they burned down the South, ordered the rape of women and children, and then continued pillaging the South after the war ended. He is rotting in hell.

In the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates, he explicitly rejected social and political equality between races (e.g., voting rights, intermarriage), while affirming Black people's right to the fruits of their labor and basic natural rights.

In his 1860 campaign and first inaugural address, he reassured the South that he had "no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the States where it exists."

I'm pretty sure Kansas became a state in 1861 and West Virginia was an act of congress due to the western part of the state refusing to suceed. I dont know where you people learned history but maybe do a little research on your conspiracy theories.

Slavery was a means to end Lincoln wanted. I don't think he really anticipated freed slaves staying in the USA. He thought that most would want to go home to Africa. He was way wrong.

Incorrect. Lincoln is The Great Emancipator. He freed the slaves from shitheads like you.

That would have killed the yankees narrative about why the south was fighting the war. To this day most people think the sole reason was “muh slavery”.

Yes he was. He was always and everywhere morally and legally opposed to slavery.

Correct:
Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation only declared freedom for enslaved people held in the Confederate states . It specifically excluded areas controlled by the Union and the loyal border states where slavery still legally existed
