He also dispatched Union soldiers to polling places to intimidate voters.
Denying the right to vote is evil, isn't it?

Southerners talking rules and terror?

I’m so grateful to be from the American South, not the Confederate South.
Anyone who downvotes this is the definition of a hypocrite if they celebrated our country’s 250th birthday yesterday.

Y’all got nothing. That’s what I thought.

Lol!! What is there to say??
Lincoln stated that blacks were inferior to whites and shouldn't be allowed to inter marry.
Slavery wasn't Lincoln's first, second, or third reason for the Civil War!
This fact is beyond debate.
I do agree that preserving the United States was worth all the war, but....
let's not be silly or ignorant of tbe reasons.

Lincoln was nothing more than a politician who was trying to do his job in keeping the country unified. Slavery was never on the top of his priorities.

I’d argue that John Quincy Adams was a better abolitionist and civil rights activist; he defended the La Amistad slaves and never billed a dime for his legal services.

Lincoln wasn't the anti slavery poster-child many attempt to portray.....

I feel it’s a very overlooked sentiment of the North. It was very much a we don’t want them to be slaves but we don’t want them up here (or just here).

Who brought the blacks over by the millions? Our southern brothers.

Who profited? No not the common man of the south but the 1% here and the sellers there.

So defend the rich if you like them so damn much!

Enjoy your freedom to be stupid my friend.
