It's not about "both sides" so much as it is extremists on either side can cause a lot of problems for the rest of law abiding society.

Communist ideology supported by the left.
Armed state violence supported by the right.

The extreme right definitely does
I wouldn't say that applies to your average right winger
The ability for one side to get it's things into power, and to see people in power spout those things, support them, and legislate, is very very different.
You aren't wrong that it's the fringe right that might support more violent rhetoric. Whereas, your average Democrat and normal Democrat legislature support Far leeft wing laws and bills every single day.
This entire immigrant problem is driven by left-wing open border policies. Not by some fringe element.
And there's a big difference between violent rhetoric and some authoritarian policies and trying to enforce current laws in a complex, ideology driven environment.
Don't equate the two sides right now, especially with the plethora of "republican" lawmakers who consistently back down from the Left on most things.

The only way to get "moderates" like Powerman to give an inch is to let them create falsely premised whataboutism. Of course this is a lunatic characterization of the ICE operations, but you have to let the nuts claim some sort of moral victory.

There is no co-existence where this is taken seriously, and isn’t a fringe movement. Communists don’t want to share power.

My take away from this, or riff on it, is that the right needs to be wary of the left pushing it to somewhere it doesn't want to go.
The right's position is the status quo position for the developed world for most of the modern era. The right's position is the default position for nation states for all of human history. You have the authority and obligation to determine your own borders and laws. To keep them, they have to be enforced. It's natural to prefer your own to outsiders. Not only is it ethically acceptable, it's practically the only way to maintain a functioning state.
So, in that regard, we're not on any sort of equal footing with the left. But, could allowing the left's subversiveness and violence to fester push us to become a people we don't really want to be? Sure. Honestly, that's probably the best argument for not taking a methodical, gentler approach in Minnesota.
Might you have incidents you don't like, that you're not proud of, etc.? Yes. But will the damage be worse if you empower cretins who hate this country? Probably, yes.

Point to the people and where they fall on the political spectrum. Point to the victims, and where are they?
Actions. Not some boogeyman MSDNC told you about.
On whose ground is whose blood spilled.

Total BS. Give me an example of right wing armed state violence, especially a systemic example.
Hint, you can’t.

Some people appear to lead empty, rather meaningless lives. They tie their identities to political factions, which are always aiming to manipulate and influence. Once an individual feels like they have been heard and validate, they are true believers and will risk a lot for the faction that welcomed them.
People need to get off the internet and talk to their neighbors. The government is the real enemy no matter who is in charge.

We voted on it. Nov 24. You may have seen it on the news. Kind of a big deal.
