Makes no sense that they waited till now to bust them out. We have had low flying aircraft for a while now.

Planes do have mechanical issues from time to time. Nowhere does it say it was shot down.

Agreed. If all this today is what it seems on the surface, then I think they might be getting new tech from an outside source

What's being done about that?

Surely something since we hold the presidency, Supreme Court, house and senate huh?

Yeah. Maybe they have held some back in case we invade with ground troops. Plus we really have not hit the other side of Iran near as hard as the side the Gulf is on. It’s possible they might have had some anti aircraft capability hid over there and managed to pull it over undetected I guess.

Russia is also benefitting bigly.

Our lads being asked to invade on Holy Easter weekend will be peak irony that only Trump is tonedeaf enough to order.

Based on the reports it sounds like it could be a crash, not taken out of the sky.

Where is all this new found weaponry coming from?

Suddenly after one month, Iran has SAMs?

Must just be some random guys named Abraham shooting down planes since their military is so decimated.

That’s what I have been wondering. The media keeps talking like it was shot down. It’s extremely likely that mechanical issues could be the cause just due to the amount of missions all the planes are flying. These machines are under a lot of stress and strain right now.

We lost 44 aircraft due to enemy fire in Desert Storm. and 51 due to accidents/ mechanical/ etc.

Crank up the B-52s and lets do some carpet bombing along their coast.

So that's roughly 50 million dollars worth of equipment today....

The A-10 has been decommissioned birdbrain. The final flights of the A-10 platform are scheduled to be done by the end of the 2026 fiscal year (September).

If anything Iran just saved us a ton of money of scrapping it ourselves.

We should tell the citizens they have 7 days to rise up and take their country back. If they do not, then we will destroy every bridge, critical road link, oil infrastructure, and power plant within their borders.

But the unfortunate thing is these events are considered huge wins for the Iranians and may strengthen their resolve

Absent these events they might be more willing to surrender or negotiate

This is so damn ridiculous.

The A-10 is a legend and rarely goes down. That Strait is so narrow to patrol it makes US vessels, sea or air, much easier targets than under normal conditions.

They are very old and have been canibalizing parts from decomissioned birds for quite some time. Their losses from crashes and mechanical failure by far and away outpace their combat losses.

fly low like they do in action and training the ground is often more dangerous than the enemy

That can't be. Trump said we had complete air supremacy and that all of their anti-aircraft was bombed out.
