Not popular, but these women largely don’t fulfill their traditional roles of being wives, mothers and homemakers. They lack purpose in their lives that they traditionally have aligned with and are trying to find purpose elsewhere by “mothering” other issues attempting to attain virtue.

I used to spend a lot of time in nearby Berkeley when I lived in Oakland. It wasn’t uncommon to see cars with multiple bumper stickers telling the world their views on every leftist/progressive cause. Almost all of these cars were driven by angry, short-haired, unattractive women. Nobody virtue signals like Berkeley leftists.
